Cops seize RM12mil worth of drugs in Setia Alam raid

SHAH ALAM: Police seized a total of RM12mil worth of drugs in a raid on a home turned drug manufacturing lab in Setia Alam.
A team of officers from the Selangor Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department raided a double storey house at 6.15pm Tuesday while two men were busy at work processing drugs.
On Friday, Department chief Asst Comm Amran Ramli said the items seized included 6,437 ecstasy pills weighing 1.87kg; 93.49kg of ecstasy powder and 235.22g of crystallised syabu powder, including 109.1g of caffeine powder.
Police also seized another 265kg of precursor powder and some equipment, worth another RM50,220.
Two local men aged 33 and 41 were also picked up, with a BMW 7 series and a Volkswagen Passat confiscated during the raid.
ACP Amran said this was the largest drug bust in Selangor so far this year.
