chic kalau beli rumah,make sure jangan jauh2 from interchange...kalau dapat within walking distance to interchange lebih better..dulu kalau nak ka rumah my in law, the block is 7 or 8 station away from interchange...alamak boring seh....waste time pun ada...my house is 2 block away from the mrt station...very convenient .....

pay abit more tak apa,in the long run...you won't regret....feeder bus kadang2 very erractic dia punya schedule .....kena tunggu long long...

i know this guy,he work as head of despatch department.he sold his first house and got a six figure profit.apalagi...dia renovate rumah at $80k.....
dia cakap ghairah lah,so renovate sa sedap hati.met him sometime back,dia kata MENYESAL tak sudah.he said,he should have been wiser with his money.what he spend for his renovation,is a write off.he was retrenched,
so dia rasa menyesal,he should have save for rainy days.
my personal feel : i spend only on window grill,nyatoh door and kitchen cabinet.my resale house was in tip top shape,so no need to spend money.
my first house was quite bare,i only spend on flooring,window grill,nyatoh door and kitchen cabinet.my cabinet was  less than $1k. my valuation was high...$286k and i managed to sell at $300k.
my advice : for young couples don't berhutang to renovate your house,
spend on the neccesities only.don't start married life,saddled with debts.you don't have to spend a bomb on your renovation.keep aside some cash for the kids education and have spare money for your rainy days.my fridge and dinning set is already 15 years,my sofa around 10 years....it ain't broken,so i'mi still using it.my curtain kat rumah dah 4 years,masih belum tukar2 lagi.

betul juga abg matz, my new hse is under renovation, i spent my renovation abt $7k, i did tell my hubby dat i taknak ambik any bank loan, takut hutang sana sini, biar ade duit sikit2 baru beli, kalau takde buat takde aje.
Skrg mcm2 crita dgr pasal org kena buang, kesian kalau siapa yg ade family

tengok skrg cost of education here is so very expensive n tak taulah mcm mana kita ni bila hari tua juga, kena simpan dari skrg........
wen my parents time the cost of housing not so expen compared now, bilalah agaknya cost of living here won't be dat high???

it's just my opinion..tak ada tak peh,kita simpan duit dulu,,bila dah sampai matlamat baru ko beli.my tv, beli time dapat bonus....dulu tv made in japan
mahal...i paid $1600 .... sekarang around $600 dah boleh dapat.ni tv, so far so good...color and sound masih ada UUMPHHHH
ni toshiba tv dah 12 years.....kalau ko calculate.....

$1600 divide by 12 years = $133.33 per year

$133.33 divide 12 months = $ 11.11 per month ..worth every cents i paid.

lagi satu, ni based on pengalaman aku ni, try carik yang ada lift landing dan jugak try imagine corridor space,public space tu convinience tak untuk orang2 sakit ke, wheelchair bound ke...

ni bukan apa ah, standby kot lain kali kalo apa2 jadi, senang...

kalo rumah baru memang mostly ada lift landing every floor,
tapi untuk rumah lama, even kalo ada full scale upgrading, yang dia taruk lift very floor pun kita jangan take for granted, cam ada flat design lama top floor takde lift....

zaman sekarang semua berlawan2 la....takut malu bila orang datang....;)


zaman dulu, alas tikar getah je...
dah tu tv pun, beli 14 inch black n white lagik....

hehehehe...

tapi takde worry hutang la...relaks je...

pasal nak cantikkan rumah, org kita memang sanggup suka spent beribu2 just 2 hve their dream hse, tak hairanalh;)
watever izit as wat abg matz kata pendapat dia , harus sc n lain2 yg baru dpt rumah n baru kahwin, shld berjimat untk belakanag hari, bak kata org hidupan kita ni kan mcm adekala air pasang n adekalany ade air surut juga

my wife punya auntie, beli rumah hdb yang 4 tingakat,with no LIFT.
she's in her 50's....sekarang naik tangga....lutut and badan sakit....
make sure,kalau your elderly parents are around...ko carik lah rumah yang near to lift.jadi kalau dia orang nak datang to your house...senang sikit.

just a passing thot : my house is 2 block away from the mrt.i don't need to spend money on the erractic feeder bus.the feeder bus punya fare ,
can buy you ONE LOAF OF BREAD everyday...or straits times,if you want.

ni design tiga bilik punya at least ada long corridor kat depan rumah..

tapi design yang 5 room punya memang teruk la...dah la sempit tangga dia.
lagi satu kelakar, not all units ada face to face punya, ada unit yang the whole staircase tu satu unit je ( maknanya no facing neighbour ). Safety wise bahaya jugak pasal takde orang.

Matz, aku pun dah nampak sendiri ah orang tua turun naik tingkat 4 flat2 rendah ni, teruk wooo...

Ni belum campur angkat barang2 berat.


Lagi satu - kalo apa full upgrading pun kat estet tu, mesti tak financially viable untuk buat lift landing bagi unit 4 tingkat ni.

Hello semua,

Sorry for some reason I had trouble posting. Fed up sey. Anyways, memang dah tengok2. Chic suka small estates. Very private. But very expensive. For now tak payah cakap dulu lah pat mana. Tapi dekat ngan Deaf (hello neighbour!)...

Matz, thanks for the advice, memang one of the reasons why I'm moving is because I nak cari rumah near MRT. Senang sikit. Save on transport costs and time travelled. Pasal renovation pulak, entah lah eh, to each his own. Chic very house proud. So....tengok lah macam mana. But of course tak boleh live beyond your means lah. Chic pun tak suka berhutang....:ah:

my actual travel time less than 20 minutes in the train work.kalau baca papers in the train...macam very fast dah sampai destination.matz, dulu nak naik bas ...adoi...kena sangkut kat traffic light, dah feel so sian ........my opinion,pay a bit more so you can live within walking distance to the mrt station...in the long run you won't regret.
