Newspapers have claimed this week that the France internationalwould have favoured a return to Arsenal last summer, but Anelka waskeen to dismiss such speculation.
'I like Arsenal. I had a great time at Arsenal, but I was at Boltonlike you know,' he said. 'For me when I signed at Chelsea it was agreat opportunity.
'I never look behind at what happened in the past. Today I am justlooking forward and happy to be at Chelsea. Arsenal was in the past. Weare still in the race to win everything and I will try to do it.'
Anelka arrives with a reputation as being a difficult player, butthis is a tag that does not appear to fit, and the player himself isadamant that although he has made mistakes in the past, such claims areinaccurate.
'I never said or did something wrong. What people said was wrong,people didn't know me, and if you asked players I played with atArsenal, Liverpool, Man City, Bolton, they won't say anything wrongabout me,' he explained.
'Sometimes you are happy, sometimes you are not. Maybe people saw me when I was not happy but I do not think it is fair.'
