A WOMAN in China broke up with her boyfriend because he was not as romantic as the male protagonist in Korean hit drama My Love From The Star, reported China Press.
The man, known only as Chen, said his girlfriend had become “unrealistically” romantic after watching the series, which stars Kim Soo-hyun as an alien who lands on Earth and falls in love with an actress.
The break-up came after Chen rejected his girlfriend’s request to buy her fried chicken and beer at 1am because he was too tired and lived far away.
He also denied her request for her number to be put on his speed dial.
Later, Chen realised that in the series, the actress, played by Jun Ji-hyun, had had fried chicken and beer on a snowy day and her love interest had her number on speed dial.
