A Malaysian resident has fallen to his death at a condominium in Central Pattaya. Police and rescue workers were called to the Niran Grand Condominium in Soi Arunothai on Saturday and were directed to a car parking area and to the body of Mr. Muhammad Syafiq Bin Abu Ani aged 25. The trauma suffered was consistent with a fall from a high floor and it was determined he had fallen from the 14th floor where a bag of clothes and the victim’s sandals were found along with a plane ticket which indicated Mr. Muhammed was due to fly out of Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur on Friday 22nd, the day before the fall. Nobody knew of Mr. Muhammed who is not thought to be a resident at the condominium and although indications suggest this was a suicide, Police will liaise with the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok first to determine any reasons behind him missing his flight and to learn more about his background.
