GAEL CLICHY has pledged his future to Arsenal and ruled out any move to Real Madrid.
The Gunners’ full-back, 23, has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu as part of president Florentino Perez’s rebuilding process.
But despite Real already bagging Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, the French star insists he has no intention of quitting the Emirates after agreeing a long-term deal last year.
He said: “I heard there is interest from Real Madrid.
“But I have a contract with Arsenal, which I intend to respect unless the club say otherwise.
“It is great to be linked with Real but I want to win things with Arsenal.” |

Gunners skipper rules out Barca switch

Cesc Fabregas insists his immediate future remains at Arsenal, but admits he hopes to play in Spain at some stage of his career.
The Gunners skipper has been strongly linked with a return to his homeland this summer, with Barcelona keen to take him back to his Catalan roots.
Fabregas was even quoted at one stage as having said that he would be willing to discuss a potential move to Camp Nou should he receive a call from Pep Guardiola.
The Spain international has been quick to distance himself from such reports, claiming he is happy to remain at Arsenal for now.
He has, however, hinted that a move to Barcelona in the future would be an option he would like to pursue.
"My future right now is in the same place. Arsenal have already said that I'm not for sale, which fills me with pride," the 22-year-old told Radio Marca.
"If some day I left Arsenal, it would not be to stay in England. As everybody knows I really want to play in the Spanish league.
"In England the top four teams are much better than the others and in Spain it is more even." |
