Injury situation eases
Sir Alex Ferguson will be in buoyant mood after watching his side demolish West Bromwich Albion 5-0 on Tuesday, but he'll be equally pleased that United's lengthy injury list is beginning to shorten.
Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Ji-sung Park all made their return from spells on the side lines against the Baggies, and with Patrice Evra (ankle) and Nani (groin) also on the mend the boss has plenty of reason to be positive.
"Things are looking up and players are starting to come back," he told MUTV.
"Patrice may have a chance for Saturday against Everton. If the game had still been on Monday I抎 say he抣l definitely play. But he抯 still got achance of making it.
"Nani should also be fit for Saturday as well. The ones still unavailable are Jonny Evans, Rafael and Fabio, and Anderson."
The manager didn't provide an update on the fitness of Wayne Rooney's hamstring strain, but he did say at the weekend that the Reds striker would not be rushed back.
揥ayne has never had a hamstring injury before and there is no way we will bring him back early, |
