Drogba Relishes Anelka Partnership
In yet another turn of events at Stamford Bridge, Didier Drogba has spoken of potential friendship off the pitch with new signing Nicolas Anelka and his eagerness to perform on the pitch in partnership with the Frenchman...
Drogba's words to the press have been incredibly contradictory in recent months; his erratic attitude seems to have largely surfaced since the departure of manager Jose Mourinho, with whom Drogba was said to have a close relationship.
He has allegedly released statements of his desire to leave the club and then clarified them insisting he wants to stay and win trophies. Now, he has gone from asserting his authority as Chelsea's number one following Anelka's arrival, to now, following Anelka's initial praise of Drogba, insisting he looks forward to working with his 'buddy'.
A Terrifying Partnership

Chelsea wrapping up Ivanovic signing
Lokomotiv Moscow defender Branislav Ivanovic is expected to sign for Chelsea today.
Sport Express says Chelsea are confident of securing the Serbia international's work permit today after battling through the courts. Ivanovic hasn't played 75 per cent of Serbia's recent internationals and so doesn't automatically qualify for a UK work permit. However, Chelsea are confident they've successfully argued Ivanovic is an "exceptional talent" and will receive a positive ruling today. |

John Terry: Difficult to get in Chelsea team
Chelsea have been unbeaten in Terry's absence and the England captain had particular praise for his replacement, Alex.
"The spine of the team has been out but the lads have been fantastic and we will all have to work really hard to get back in the team," said Terry.
"Alex maybe took two or three games to settle but since then he has been one of our best players, a rock at the back, great in the air, quick and he has come up with some important goals as well."
