It is the first time that he sang this and in fact he haven't sang it at the said wedding yet.

The solo single "Loveless" by Yamashita Tomohisa (NEWS), released 3 years after his first, achieved 194,000 in sales in its first week, attaining the #1 position on the weekly Oricon chart. This is his second consecutive solo single to top the Oricon weekly charts since his debut solo single "Daite Senorita" in May 2006.
Since debuting as a member of NEWS in May 2004, he has released works as part of temporary groups like "Shuuji to Akira" and "GYM", and all of these CDs have achieved Weekly #1. Including his solo releases, he has accumulated 18 consecutive #1s since his debut.

Tomohisa Yamashita and best friend Toma Ikuta may be forming a new unit called “Iku & Pi” a.k.a. “the ikemen unit.” Well at least just for one night.
Yamapi who just finished his first solo concert at Yokohama Arena, had one his best friends make a special guest appearance during the second half of the show and they instantly formed “the ikemen unit.”
Both of them joined Johnny’s Entertainment in 1996 and became really close friends. So when it was decided that Yamapi was to have his first solo concert, he immediately called Toma and asked him to make an appearance.
“It’s like a dream come true to have both of us on the same stage,” Yamapi stated, and with a happy smile, “It was like going back to our JR. days.“
The last time they were both on stage was seven years ago when both Yamapi and Toma were part of Johnny’s Jr.
KAT-TUN Tanaka Watches Yama-P Solo Concert and Reminisces about Old Times
KAT-TUN member Tanaka Koki went to see the solo concert held by NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa (a.k.a. Yama-P). He also looked back at some memorable incidents.
Tanaka "A while ago I went to see Yama-P's concert! He looked brilliant. We used to go to the same high school, where we enjoyed doing stupid things and getting scolded by the teachers. I slept over at Yama-P's house and then inviting Yama-P to my home. Although we were performing as Johnny's members I naturally felt that we were closer as classmates.
After we costarred in the drama series 'Byakkotai', I started to consider him as a 'colleague' as well. When we were filming 'Byakkotai', above anything else I didn't want to 'lose' to him.
Now we've grown up, and I saw the person I had done stupid things together and had worked together unflinchingly perform at a big concert. It felt kind of funny, but it made me think that I have to do my best to perform just as hard as Yama-P.
Since I've been talking about 'Akira,' I should talk about 'Shuji' as well! ['Shuji to Akira' was an artist duo formed by Yamashita and KAT-TUN member Kamenashi; Yamashita was called 'Akira', while Kamenashi became 'Shuji'.] Two days after my birthday, Kame-chan [Kamenashi] and I went out to eat dinner together to celebrate! I requested that we eat 'shabu-shabu'♪ ['Shabu-shabu; a type of Japanese dish similar to the Chinese dish 'hot pot'.]
We talked about a lot of things...about our future, our careers and trivial things too. Don't worry Kame-chan, I'm 24 years old. I'm an adult now. I'll work hard and move forward one step at a time so I can go head to head with everybody!
I don't know what we'd be doing several years from now...let's just do our best. Let's do our utmost, and overcome any obstacles that get in our way...and a few years from now we should again go and eat shabu-shabu and have fun!
'Akira' and 'Shuji' have given me strength. They made me feel I should continue to work hard! From this month I'm planning to take dance lessons. I like dancing so I'm looking forward to it!!"
Since they're so close together, they are able to become good influences for each other. As they continue to compete with each other, their relationships will last for years to come!
