Episode 7 Review: Go Soo Says to Lee Yo Won “I’ll Live Like Park Geun Hyung Even If I Have to Go to Jail”
In Empire of Gold, episode 7, Jang Tae Joo(played by Go Soo) said to Choi Seo Yoon(played by Lee Yo Won) that he will live like Choi Dong Sung(played by Park Geun Hyung) no matter what.
Seo Yoon came to convince Tae Joo to join hands with her to collapse Sungjin Group. However, Tae Joo said, “Let’s say a tiger is chasing after me, and there is a rope sent from heaven in front of me. I’m not going to grab onto that rope. I’m going to fight the tiger.”
As Seo Yoon suggested that she will protect him from the prosecution, he said to her, “What I’m really afraid of is me ending up wagging my tail for you. I’m afraid that I might go down on my knees in front of you and beg you to save me, but I think it’s not time for that yet.” He continued, “Your father who got sued and examined thousands of time by the prosecution, and is still the owner of that huge company. I like him a lot. I’m going to live like him.”

Episode 7 Review: Kim Mi Sook Plans to Leave Park Geun Hyung
In Empire of Gold, episode 7, Han Jung Hee(played by Kim Mi Sook) planned to leave Choi Dong Sung(played by Park Geun Hyung).
Jung Hee said to Choi Sung Jae(played by Lee Hyun Jin), “I’m going to hand in the documents of Choi Seo Yoon(played by Lee Yo Won)’s tax evasion to the police.” Sung Jae was surprised and answered, “But she taught me how to horseback ride and ride a bike.”
Jung Hee continued, “She sure is a good sister. She does all the dishes and gives the best food for you. I’ll take over the company until you finish your studies. Tonight will be the last time calling them father and sister. We are going to leave this house listening to Choi Dong Sung screaming.”

Episode 8 Review: Go Soo Wants to Get Married to Jang Shin Young?
In Empire of Gold, episode 8, Jang Tae Joo(played by Go Soo) told Choi Dong Jin(played by Jung Han Yong) and Choi Min Jae(played by Son Hyun Joo) that he wants to get married to Yoon Sul Hee(played by Jang Shin Young).
As Sul Hee asked if he was not interested in dating someone, Tae Joo told her that he was not interested. Then he said he will get married someday when he is stuck in a hard situation just like how Adolf Hitler did.
During dinner together, Sul Hee got a suggestion from Dong Jin for having a date with a rich guy. Just then, Tae Joo strongly went against it and said, “She might become my wife.” Dong Jin, Min Jae and Sul Hee were surprised.

Episode 8 Review: Park Geun Hyung Knows About Kim Mi Sook’s Scheme
In Empire of Gold, episode 8, Choi Dong Sung(played by Park Geun Hyung) pretended that he did not know, but actually knew about Han Jung Hee(played by Kim Mi Sook)’s scheme.
Choi Sung Jae(played by Lee Hyun Jin) stayed next to Dong Sung, who was in the hospital for health issues. As he opened his eyes, Sung Jae apologized to him. Dong Sung said, “It’s okay. I don’t blame you. I’ll probably get scolded by your father when I go to heaven. There have been a lot of blood stained on my hands. And I’ve raised you as my own. Thanks for growing up as a great young man.”
Then Sung Jae found out that Dong Sung knew about Jung Hee’s plan. Dong Sung said, “Don’t let your mother know. She may have been scared raising a child on her own. She must have been so anxious about me finding out.”

Jung Hee said to him, “I prayed all night long for help when you had your eye surgery seven years ago. I prayed for the success of the surgery, and to let you live longer. But now you can go.” Dong Sung barely said, “Don’t hurt Seo Yoon(played by Lee Yo Won).
Jung Hee continued, “Don’t worry. Seo Yoon’s still young enough to live in prison. Don’t die yet. I have more to say to you. When he comes greeting you in heaven, please tell him that I have never forgotten about him. That I was always his wife, and will be.”

Episode 9 Review: Lee Yo Won Wails Over Park Geun Hyung’s Death
In Empire of Gold, episode 9, Choi Seo Yoon(played by Lee Yo Won) wailed over her father, Choi Dong Sung(played by Park Geun Hyun)’s death.
When Dong Sung saw Seo Yoon, he tried to warn her about Han Jung Hee(played by Kim Mi Sook). As he said, “Your mother…” Seo Yoon replied, “Don’t worry about mother. I’ll take care of her.” Eventually, he could not tell her the true side of Jung Hee, and passed away. Seo Yoon wailed as see saw him die.
However, Seo Yoon had no time to be sad over her father’s death. She had too much work to deal with.
