LBH's agency BH Entertainment on the 26th disclosed that IRIS filming is currently progressing in Akita Japan with a high number of local fans gathering at the set everyday. Since the filming started on March 10th, over 2,500 Japanese fans have been flocking the Akita Prefecture to see LBH and the cast of IRIS.
Agency official also adds that, about 300 fans waited all day in the trembling cold weather to see actor Lee Byung Hun whom in the evening would come out to meet them, offering a warm handshake. According to the Akita Accommodation Tourism board, fans are continuously coming each day to Akita despite the hotels' reservation have been fully booked since early March.
The local police and team of security are asked to help maintain the situation so that the filming will not be affected. The Akita authority and residents have been giving their utmost cooperation in order to provide full support to the filming as well as helping to manage the incoming fans.
After about almost a month in Akita, the IRIS Japanese location shoot will soon conclude. But Lee Byung Hun will be back in June when his international debut movie 'I Come With The Rain' will finally premiere in Japan.

Actress Kim Tae-hee is taking advantage of a brief break to focus on getting (more) into shape for her role in the big-budget spy-action series IRIS. She's not a stranger to action shoots, having done wire work and fight scenes in some of her previous projects (Nine-Tailed Fox, Fight), but is taking care to keep fit to avoid injury.
The production recently wrapped up its shoots in Japan, and has now returned to Korea. The cast will get a brief respite before jetting off for more location filming in Turkey in mid-May. (The scripts are not yet complete for the Turkey shoots.)
I must be the only one who's not excited for IRIS, despite all the hype and the money and the big-name stars. Yes, I am looking forward to seeing Lee Byung-heon (The Good, The Bad, The Weird) again, but I figure I can always catch him in films. But maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Aside from Kim and Lee, the drama also stars Kim Seung-woo (How to Meet a Perfect Neighbor), Big Bang’s Top, Kim So-yeon (Gourmet), and Yoo Min (aka Fueki Yuko; Yoo Min is her Koreanified name).
Kim So Yeon's recent appearance in IRIS postershoot with very short hair and sexy black dress holding a gun have been garnering interest on the internet amongst fans.
