Subang Jaya: Selepas dua minggu bernikah, penyanyi Hafiz Suip, 26, dan isteri, Nureffy Jesreel Abdullah atau Effy, 24, mengadakan majlis resepsi kali ketiga mereka di Hotel Dorsett Grand Subang, di sini malam tadi.
Pasangan yang diijabkabul pada 14 Mei lalu di kediaman keluarga Effy di Kuching, Sarawak itu berkenalan pada 2010 dan mula menjalin cinta pada 2013.
Hafiz pada ucapan ringkasnya berkata, dia bersyukur dapat juga mengadakan majlis persandingan kali ketiga di Semenanjung.
"Saya tahu tidak ramai kenalan dan sahabat dapat hadir pada majlis pernikahan saya dan Effy yang berlangsung di Kuching, dua minggu lalu.
"Jadi, majlis persandingan ini amat bermakna buat kami. Diharapkan mana yang terkurang mohon dimaafkan," katanya.
Menurut Hafiz, kini apa yang diharapkan doa kebahagian buat dia dan isteri semoga ikatan perkahwinan dibina mereka kekal ke akhir hayat.
Sebelum ini, hanya sekali lafaz, Hafiz sah bergelar suami kepada Effy yang turut menerima mas kahwin sebanyak RM120.
Bahkan, majlis pernikahan pasangan ini juga diadakan dalam satu majlis tertutup yang hanya dihadiri keluarga dan kenalan rapat.
Pemilihan tarikh nikah 14 Mei lalu itu bersempena tarikh lahir Effy, manakala majlis pertunangan pada 27 Februari lalu adalah tarikh lahir Hafiz.
Bagi majlis persandingan pengantin perempuan sudah diadakan di Hotel Pullman, Kuching dan di pihak Hafiz pula berlangsung di Pusat Konvensyen Borneo Kuching (BCCK).

Malaysia’s singing sensation Hafiz Suip, 26, finally tied the knot with Nureffy ‘Effy’ Jesreel Abdullah, 24, at a private solemnisation ceremony held at the bride’s house near Taman Matang Jaya on May 14.
The affair was solemnised by Ustaz Kasdinata Fauzi, with mahr worth RM120.
After the couple got engaged on February 27 last year on Hafiz’s birthday, they chose to get married on May 14 this year to mark Effy’s birthday.
The solemnisation ceremony was held at Effy’s house near Taman Matang Jaya, Kuching at 10.30am on Saturday, May 14.
After the solemnisation ceremony, Hafiz and Effy celebrated two different wedding receptions, first was for the bride’s side and the second was for the groom.
The wedding reception for Effy’s side themed ‘Malam Songket’ was held at Pullman Hotel banquet hall on Saturday, attended by more than 10, 000 guests.
Upon the couple’s arrival in traditional Malay attire on a dais designed by Alex Suib of ‘My Pelamin’ at 8pm, the guests were entertained by a dance performance by dancers from the Sarawak Cultural Village.

After the dance performance, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife Datin Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang were invited to come on stage to start the blessing ceremony (upacara merenjis).
It was followed by State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar and wife Datin Amar Fatimah Iskandar, Lebuhraya Borneo Utara Sdn Bhd (LBU) chairman Tan Sri Abang Ahmad Urai Hakim Abang Mohideen, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, before Effy’s parents Awang Abdullah Awang Abdul Razak and Fatimah Bohari, as well as Hafiz’s parents Mohd Suip Mohd Suut and Halizawati Mohd Salleh.
Several traditional Malay wedding practices were also performed after the blessing ceremony including the ‘makan temuan’, yellow glutinous rice-cutting ceremony, and ‘turun naik tangga’ (the act of going up and down the stairs for three times) symbolising the ups and downs of marriage.
The guests were entertained during dinner by spectacular singing performance of ‘Sayang Sarawak’ by Hazmil Hassan of Astro’s Ceria Popstar 2016. Following that was a wonderful musical performance by violin player Mohd Addin Rahman, The Little Big Band, and another dance performance by SCV dancers.
Akademi Fantasia 7 winner Hafiz also did not miss the chance to perform a mesmerizing performance of his duet with Misha Omar entitled ‘Terimaku Seadanya’. Misha also sang Alicia Key’s ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ that evening.

A dear friend to Hafiz also of Akademi Fantasia 7 fame Akim Ahmad also delivered a soulful performance of Akim & the Majistret’s ‘Mewangi’ and Lionel Richie’s ‘Hello’.
Also present at the three-hour wedding ceremony hosted by Iwan Dasri and Sharifah Murshida were local celebrities including the vivacious TV host Datuk Aznil Nawawi.
The second wedding reception by the groom’s side was held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching the next day, May 15.

Knowing each other for six years since 2010, Hafiz and Effy only decided to make their relationship public during their engagement on February 27 last year to protect their privacy.
Effy, second of three siblings, first saw Hafiz during the final AF7 concert in 2009, where she and her parents went to support their fellow Sarawakian in the reality singing competition, never expecting that the winner would eventually become her husband.
The Empire Shopping Gallery in Kuala Lumpur remains the couple’s most cherished place as that was where they met for the first time and where Effy accompanied Hafiz to buy a shirt right after the music video shoot of ‘Awan Nano’.
“Apart from the fact that he is cute, I was drawn to Hafiz for his humble and caring demeanour. He is also a very responsible person who is highly respectful of others,” she said.
As for Hafiz, Effy’s politeness is what attracted him the most.
“Effy is a very reserved, shy person and it was her politeness that drew my attention. She really respects the elderly and is a very loving person to her family.
“I believe that Effy is the person who can properly guide me going forward as she has always been my motivation and always be there for me. I hope that we can continue to become a loving couple and I promise to love her each and every day for as long as I live.”
