Meanwhile, the New Straits Times spoke to several youths who claimed they saw police firing at Aminulrasyid's car.
The youths, all 18 years old, claimed they were in a restaurant when they saw the chase about 1.30am.
"I saw three police cars, and two other cars, one of which was beingdriven by the victim," said one of the youths identified as Firdaus.
"The victim turned left into a junction at Section 11 and police opened fire at the car," said another youth identified as Asyraf.
"We saw the tyres were already flat and there were sparks from the left rim.
"The car was out of control when it took the corner, and at the same time we saw police firing more shots," he said.
The youths quickly paid they bill and went to see the rest of the drama. When they arrived at the scene the victim's car was in a drain.
"I was standing about three metres from the victim's car.
"At that time, police had not cordoned off the area."
