Injury News
Kieran Gibbs
November 24
Kieran fractured the first metatarsal in his left foot against Standard Liege and will be out for around three months.
"Gibbs has a big hole in his leg," said Arsène Wenger at his post-match press conference. "It doesn't look good for Gibbs."
William Gallas
November 24
William Gallas was substituted at half time of the Standard Liege game but should be fit to face Chelsea.
"Gallas has an ankle problem and a swollen eye," said Wenger after the match. "I think he will recover for Sunday"
Abou Diaby
November 23
Abou Diaby is expected to be out for three weeks with a calf problem. "Diaby had a recurrence of his calf, he is three weeks away," said Arsène Wenger.
Gael Clichy
November 23
Gael is expected to return to fitness within the next three weeks according to Arsène Wenger. "Clichy is not too far, I think two to three weeks," said the manager.
Lukasz Fabianski
November 23
Lukasz Fabianski will make his comeback from a thigh injury in the Reserves' match against Aston Villa this week. "Fabianski will play on Wednesday night in the Reserves so after that he will be available," said Wenger.
Robin Van Persie
November 19
Robin was stretchered off during Holland's international friendly with Italy in Pescara on Saturday, November 14 with ankle ligament damage. He is expected to be out for around six weeks.
"We knew that when Robin came out with this injury, that he would be out for a long time," said Arsène Wenger. "So it was a relief that he would be out for six weeks."
Nicklas Bendtner
November 19
Nicklas Bendtner underwent groin surgery in Germany on November 10 and is now three weeks away from a return. "Bendtner is out for three more weeks," Arsène Wenger told Arsenal TV Online ahead of the trip to Sunderland.
Johan Djourou
November 9
Johan suffered a knee injury while on international duty in August and faces a lengthy lay-off. “Johan is [out for] six to eight months,” Wenger said. “He had big surgery, and it is a big blow for him and the Club. He will have to be patient this season.”
