Alternative analyses of the MH17 crash

The guy is radio-electronic so he is welcoming aerodynamics to criticize him.

Given:

airplane height h = 10.000 meters(horizontal) speed (velocity) v = 900 km/h corresponds 250 m/sJudging by the photos from the crash site, where all fragments are in one place, it is clear that the plane fell mostly in one peace (it didn't fell apart in the air). So it was single body that, the speed of which has a very high dependency on the air resistance (body shape makes a difference).

Free falling body will take: t = sqrt (2h / g) time to fall (g is gravity force)

In vacuum such a body wold fall in T = sqrt (2 * 10000/9.8) = 45 seconds

The velocity at the impact with the ground would be then V = sqrt (2gh) = 442 m/s (in vacuum!)

Air resistance limits the speed of free falling as well as it increase the time to fall.

For a human body this speed at the moment of impact decreases to 40 m/s, for bullet 50 m/s

Taking airplanes shape and mass into consideration we can guess that impact speed would be 40 m/s (just an rough estimation). Free falling body is actually accelerating so the speed of impact is the maximum falling speed (plane has its own thrust so this doesn't have to be fully correct).

So roughly estimating plane is going to fall for 10.000/40 = 250 seconds (if we assume constant speed though 40 m/s is estimated maximum speed), let us say 4 minutes.
Let us also assume that horizontal decrease linear to some deceleration (linearly loosing velocity).

Drag force (air resistance/friction) is acting opposite to the relative motion of any object moving with respect to a surrounding fluid (air for the plane).

So drag force is: Fd = Cd ((P * V ^ 2) / 2) * S
For a well-designed airplane aerodynamics Cd <0,3 (airplane tumbling around in the air has higher Cd)

Boeing 777 Weight = 300 tons.
At maximum speed horizontal deceleration due to air resistance will be 590/300 = 2 m / s ^ 2 as he had expected it. In plain English speed will decelerate with 2 m/s every second.
Now take your favorite (?) school formula
X = (V1 ^ 2-V0 ^ 2) / 2a

Take into account the nonlinearity of slowing dully in half and you will get distance of 31 kilometer.

Take into account the range of fire

Maximum range of fire missiles AGM-86 ALCM (additional info having nothing to do with the calculation above)
at a height of 30 m - 20 km,
at an altitude of 6000 m - 26 km
Probability of hit is KR 0.6-0.8 (60 - 80 %)

This distance should not be confused with the detection range.


Conclusion

From the calculations and analysis of the impact position on the map if missile was fired from the territory controlled by militia (DNR), the plane would have fallen much further to the south-east, ie somewhere in the territory of Russia. Otherwise firing time, hit time and falling time wouldn't much.

If it was ground missile/SAM/missile fired from the ground and not from a fighter plane, it is most likely that the missile launch was carried out from the territory controlled by the UkroArmy.
