Soft subs are subtitles that are distributedSEPARATE from the video file. They come as a text file, usingextensions like .SUB, .SRT, etc. The reason for the differentextensions is that there are different formats used for soft subs.

I have a subtitle file (softsub), how do I play it with my video?

1. Place sub file in the same directory as the video file. Make sure that they have the same filename.
e.g
WRONG
Koukou_Kyoushi_ep02.avi
Koukou Kyoushi ep02.smi
-----Your player cannot find Eng sub because of the file name.

CORRECT
Koukou_Kyoushi_ep02.avi
Koukou_Kyoushi_ep02.smi
-----Your player can find Eng sub automatically.

3. Play video and subs should be overlayed automatically.

ada media player classic x?play video tu yg .avi, nnt automatic sub tu akan ada

Masalah softsubs...
Softsubs/sarikata boleh ubah merupakan subtitle/sarikata yg tidak di'encode'kan secara kekal/hard ke atas video.
Softsubs/sarikata boleh ubah mempunyai fail berasingan yang selalunya dirilis dlm extension/jenis SRT (.srt) atau ASS (.ass).

1) Download raw file (video file). Selalunya dlm bentuk AVI (.avi).
2) Download soft-subtitle file. Selalunya dlm bentuk SRT (.srt) atau ASS (.ass)
3) Kumpulkan raw file dan subtitle file dlm satu folder.
4) Pastikan nama raw file dan subtitle file adalah sama. Cth: Sunshine.avi dan Sunshine.srt
5) Buka raw file mcm biasa, subtitle akan load sendiri.

Sekiranya subtitle tak keluar juga, mungkin ada masalah codec.
Penyelesaian untuk segala masalah codec umumnya boleh diselesaikan dgn meng'install' CCCP atau K-lite Codec (full), ade codec nih dh cukup utk satu komputer, tak payah nak pening2 download byk2 codec. Ade codec nihpun boleh menyelesaikan masalah nk tgk fail MKV atau MP4/MPEG4.

1) Download CCCP kat SINI atau K-lite codec pack (full) kat SINI. (install salah satu sahaja !!!)

2) Kemudian run mcm biase

3) Try bukan balik citer seperti yg diterangkan di atas.
