Frank Lampard became the first midfielder to score four goals in a Premier League fixture as Chelsea destroyed Derby County 6-1 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
Lampard's quartet took his league goal tally to 10 for the season, while his current record for Chelsea stands at an incredible 71 goals in 241 Premier League appearances.
Lampard is joined by 16 other players who have netted four goals in a game, while Andy Cole and Alan Shearer remain the only players to have managed five finishes in an encounter. |

Lampard's contract concern
Frank Lampard has admitted he is growing increasingly impatient at the lack of progress over his new deal at Chelsea.
The England international midfielder's current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2009 and he has been regularly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Lampard has always insisted he wants to stay with the Premier League club, who are also adamant that one of their star players will not leave.
But the former West Ham player is not happy that talks will not be held until the summer, and is waiting for the Blues to make him an offer.
He told the London Evening Standard: "I've been approached a few times by the club saying they are going to come to me with something and they haven't.
"That means they're saying they will have to wait until the summer and I don't really know what that means.
"I said at the beginning of the season I didn't want to talk about my contract because I wanted to concentrate on my football.
"They have made contact but it hasn't been with any news. They've been saying that something is going to happen but if we wait until the summer and nothing happens then I've got a year left which is not a position I want to be in."
