Story Behind Cancelation of Rain's World Tour in Hawaii

Rain抯world tour promotion & production company, StarM released officialannouncement regarding recent lawsuit filed by Hawaii local promoter,Click Entertainment. Main content of this announcement is Rain willcounter act to fraud lawsuit of Hawaii concert.

ClickEntertainment filed the lawsuit against Rain, StarM, JYPE, andRevolution Entertainment stating the reason for the cancellation of theHawaii concert is to snatch the Licensing fee, $500,000.

Regardingthis accusation, StarM will counter act to Click Entertainment whofiled lawsuit against not only non contract related parties, StarM& JYPE but also the artist, Rain.

Since StarM have notreceived actual lawsuit documents from Hawaii yet so don抰 know how nonrelated parties, StarM, JYPE and even Rain, are related to thislawsuit. StarM contradict Click抯 accusation about the cancellation ofHawaii concert and also stated they will counter suit.

AlsoStarM emphasized that the innocent party, Rain抯 name, is defamedbecause of this and we will prepare firm confrontation legally. 揜ainprepared the concert diligently for 3 years since world tour plannedand finished the concerts perfectly. Asian tour is finished and inprocess of preparing US tour, Rain抯 name issue and problem with localproduction incurred.

Rain visited Atlanta and New York last Mayand right after Bangkok concert, he visited US embassy for US visa.Rain抯 responsibility is to perform his best at the concert wheneverything is ready. Rain executed his duty diligently and preparedevery concert perfectly.

Korean Superstar Rain Prepares For LA Concert,

June 28, 2007 (KABC-TV) -

He is known as Korea's Justin Timberlake.

Last year, Time magazine called him the second most influential artist in the world.

This year, he was named one of People magazine's Most Beautiful people. Even P.Diddy is a fan.

Now,the international superstar who goes by the name of Rain is bringinghis high-energy musical concert tour to Southern California thisSaturday for one night only.

"Hi, this is Ji-Hoon. I'm happy to be in L.A. See you at my concert. Thank you," he said.

Beyond those words, the 25-year-old performer wasn't comfortable doing the interview in English.

However, learning more of our language may be in his future.

"Iwas very surprised to find that I had a lot of fans in the U.S. and itsurprised me a lot to see that my fan base has expanded into theAmerican market," Rain said, through an interpreter.

"Instead ofshowing what's on the outer of my body, what I want to do is show myfans at the Staples Center concert, is to show my inner feelings and toshow about who I really am," Rain said, through an interpreter.

He'll show fans that this Saturday at Staples Center.

And next month, he'll start filming the live action big screen version of the old cartoon series, "Speed Racer."

[Rain Cancels Hawaii Concert]

Rain’s Hawaii concert has been cancelled and ticket refunds have begun.

Rain has cancelled all of his US concerts with the exception of his Los Angeles performance on the 30th. Rain’s Hawaii concert organizer, Click Entertainment, began refunding tickets on the 20th.

Dozens stood in line in front of the Click Entertainment office in Honolulu, some waiting for refunds for their $300 VIP tickets.

Rain’s world tour management company Star M reported that the singer will continue his tour after he completes filming his first Hollywood movie, “Speed Racer,” in October. The company assures that the singer will complete his tour.

Click Entertainment reported that more than 75% of the 20,000 tickets that had been up for sale had been sold.

No reason has been given for the concert cancellations.

Rain received invitations from top film producers in USA

USAfilm producer CAA is planning to invite Rain to join their company. TomCruise is one of the top Hollywood stars belong to CAA.

Enteringinto Hollywood with his first movie <Speed Racer>,singer-and-actor RAIN received invitations from top film producers inUSA to join their companies. Currently, invitations from CAA (TomCruise, George Clooney, etc are the top actors here), as well as musicproducers namely Def Jam, InterScoop, etc have gone to Rain. So whowill be Rain's future USA partner? That's an interesting issue to befollowed up!

Rain arrived at LA on 17th morning to get readyfor his LA concert on June 30 (USA time). Other than his concert, Rainalso took the chance to meet up with several famous agencies.

AlthoughRain got many invitations from artist agencies, music producers andpublishers, he firstly got in touch with the most influential agenciesin USA and arranged meetings with them on June 29 (Korea time),including top 5 agencies, i.e. CAA, 骏单滚, William Morris, etc as wellas music producers like Def Jam, InterScoop, etc.

The first agency to meet up is CAA, which owns Nicole Kidman, TomCruise and top directors such as Sam Raimi, Michael Mann, etc. Later,Rain also made an appointment with William Morris and 骏单滚.

Rainis highly appraised as a singer in USA, too and received invitationsfrom big music firms. Rain got in touch with the best USA musiccompanies like InterScoop, Sony Music and Def Jam. Among them,InterScoop is the most aggresive. Artists under them are Linkin Park,Black Eyed Peas, etc. Rain met with Interscoop director, Jimmy on June29 (Korea time) to discuss about the album and plans.

Singer RAIN is crying because of the cancellation of LA concert. He's so worry when looking around.

"To me, fans are more important than the stage"

A highly expected and prepared LA concert was cancelled on the day itself, thus Rain can't hold his tears.

Accordingto StarM, one of the producers of Rain's LA concert: Rain expressed hisstrong will to present and continue the show even though the stage isnot properly setup. And it's all for his fans.

StarMrepresentative spoke with SPN through international call on July 1,"Rain did cry when he saw the incomplete stage setup." "He stronglyinsisted to perform on the stage for his fans, although the stage isnot properly built. He looks very tired with all these..."

WhenRain was told that his intention to hold the show was a missionimpossible, he kept saying "Sorry" to the fans who came to his concertbut don't understand English.

Rain apologised to all his fans.The cancellation of LA concert was out of his control, there wereproblems and troubles which were out of his reach. Apology is the onlything he can do for his fans now.

Rain expressed his strongintention to see his fans in front of Staple Center, but the staffsfrom concert hall advised and stopped him. Thus he had to leave theconcert hall.

StarM who is also in charge of Rain's USA worldtour has released the official announcement about cancelling LAconcert. "Due to the complexity of issues, we have to cancel it." StarMrepresentative told SPN in their morning phone conversation on July 1.

Rain to Star in Special CNN Ad

Korean singer Rain will be the main model for a special advertisement on the world's biggest news channel CNN.

This special type of ad that restrains the sending of commercial messages has appealed more to customers and has actively been used by public US corporations in recent days.

The Korea Tourism Organization has been airing an ad utilizing its slogan 'Korea Sparkling!' with Rain as the model since April to 17 countries worldwide. The ad's visual is considered to promote Korea's energy and softness. A CNN official, after watching the ad, proposed that the tourism organization produce another ad in a different style, which is how the latest deal came about.

KNTO director Cha So-hee says the new ad has been made exclusively for CNN and is expected to significantly promote Korean tourism during the months of July and August.

Singer Rain has previously appeared on the CNN talk show 'Talk Asia' and also made it on the world's top 100 influential people list by Time magazine in 2006.
