Lucas and Xabi Alonso could both leave Liverpool this summer
Liverpool are ready to sell midfielder Lucas Leiva - and the Brazilian is willing to go.
Leiva has had a hard time winning over the Anfield fans, who have at times made him a scapegoat for the team's failings.
Boss Rafa Benitez will let the 22-year-old midfielder leave for around £6million, which will interest clubs in Spain and Italy.
Xabi Alonso could also depart as part of a summer clear-out. |

Hyypia Explains Decision To Leave Liverpool
The Finn has today told the press the reasons behind his decision to join Bayer Leverkusen.

Finnish international Sami Hyypia, a multiple trophy collector at Merseyside outfit Liverpool, has this week chosen to switch to Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season, after over a decade's service for the Reds.
Speaking to the club's official website, the 35-year-old said that he still believes he is at an age where he can offer first-team football at a high standard.
"The main reason [for leaving] is I still think I'm young enough to play football and I know chances to play here would be limited," he explained.
"I spoke to the manager and I didn't want him to make promises about how many games I would play, but this season has been mentally very difficult. I haven't played a lot and playing is what I enjoy most."
"I understand it isn't possible to play enough games here for me to be happy, so I had to look elsewhere.
"I got the option to go abroad to Bayer Leverkusen. The whole package was good, they have big plans for me and hopefully I can go there and help them to be successful."
When pressed as to what his most cherished memory would be while donning the iconic all-red strip of Liverpool, he said, "The Champions League victory was amazing.
"To be 3-0 down and still go on and win is something we'll never forget. On a more personal level my first game at Sheffield Wednesday, my first match at Anfield and my first goal for Liverpool are moments I will never forget."
