New boy band CNBLUE is in the middle of yet anothercontroversy as their manager is being accused of physically assaultingfans who were gathered around the group’s vehicle.
It all began when a video surfaced on the Korean web a few days ago.The video contained footage of a man, apparently CNBLUE’s manager,wielding his hand into a throng of fans and clearly slapping a girl’shead twice as the group members exited from a parked van. Jong Hyun, who was the first to exit the van, made an awkward smile as he looked into the crowd.
As this footage became popular among Korean netizens, CNBLUE’s management company FCN Music quickly responded with a statement.
They explained, “The event happened on the 11th. CNBLUE tried toenter KBS building for a rehearsal but too many fans were in the way.Even with the help of security guards we could not secure the way intothe building so the group [CNBLUE] decided to help out. As that washappening, a fan almost tripped Jong Hyun by grabbing on and pullinghis hoodie, to which the manager reacted violently.”
They apologized by saying, “Our entire staff apologizes to fansabout what had taken place; the manager has been given appropriatepunishment and nothing like this will ever happen again.”
As with Jong Hyun smiling, they explained, “Jong Hyun wassmiling about the situation where he almost fell down, not at the fansgetting beaten. He did not see the beating take place.”

C.N. Blue’s vocal Jung Yong Hwa revealed his self-camera photos!
InFebruary 13, Yong Hwa showed his wit and humor in MBC’s Quiz To ChangeThe World (SeBaQui). Hyung Young, Jang Yun Joung, Park Hyun Bin, 2AM’sIm Seul Ong and Jung Ji Woon, and Secret’s Han Sun Hwa also appeared inthe show.
Jung Yong Hwa is the main vocal for the new group C.N.Blue, who are gaining much popularity by winning first place in justtwo weeks after their debut. Yong Hwa said, “I realized how popular wewere during the fan-signing event,” and “At first, there were 200 fans,but 1000 more came.”
Jung Yong Hwa debuted as an UllJjang(roughly translated as Handsome Face). Yong Hwa said, “Someone took hismini-hompy photo, which he took in a ski resort, and posted in anUllJjang website,” and he said, “I was only smiling.”
