"I have felt for the last 10 years I have had this battle; I've been fighting so hard to have an education. It's been this uphill struggle. I was Warner Bros' pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult."
The song's music video was directed by Sophie Muller and filmed in Lake Como, Italy.[32] "It was obvious I was gonna ask her to do it", Stefani stated in an interview with VH1's Box Set.[33] The video follows the song's theme and depicts the relationship that Stefani has with a former boyfriend, who is played by Spanish actor Daniel González. González and his new girlfriend—played by Tony Kanal's girlfriend, Erin Lokitz—are shown walking up to a villa where Stefani answers the door.[32]
The villa featured in the video is the Villa Erba, in the town of Cernobbio,[34] which Stefani said was "so beautiful".She is depicted as cool with her former boyfriend and his girlfriend throughout most of the video, although there are certain times that, when looking at her eyes during the video, one can see that she still has feelings for her ex.

The song's music video was directed by Mark Romanek. Not following any plot, the video depicts the band as a group of punk rockerssquatting in an abandoned ship while the rest are chasing Stefani throughout the ship. During the course of the video, the band members perform the song, using bodyboards to float electronic equipment, and they and their friends explore and dance throughout the ship. There are also sequences of people riding on personal water crafts, Stefani performing on a coiled rope, people playing Jet Set Radio Future, and Stefani broadcasting on a pirate radio station.[2
He based it on a black-and-white Italian Vogue fashion shoot from the mid 1990s which featured models on waverunners. The video was then filmed over three days in March 2002 in Long Beach, California. The scenes inside the ship were filmed from man-made sets at South Bay Studios.[2]
"I want to diversify a bit. I don't wanna throw myself into another big blockbuster or another big franchise anytime soon. So smaller films, just small little interesting parts, I think I'd even like to play around with some really good supporting roles and then develop into -- I don’t know just like feel my way into it a bit more. I don't know, I'd love to try some theater. That's my other thing. I'd love to do some Shakespeare."
"Sure, 'Twilight' is really huge right now and everybody's freaking out over it, but it will go away soon and I will be back to doing what I'm used to doing: weird little movies that nobody sees."
