Welding Alloys (Far East) Sdn. Bhd. (WAFE ) is part of the Welding Alloys Group, a worldwide leader in automated equipment technologies and cored wire products, headquartered in the United Kingdom. WAFE is the regional headquarters for the Welding Alloys Group's Far East operations and supports the operations of the Welding Alloys Group in China, Japan, Thailand, India and Korea. Principal industries using WAFE technologies and products include the steel and cement industry, hydro-electric and thermal power stations, waste incinerators, rail industry, mining and earth mining industry, waste management, paper industry, food industry and the petrochemical industry. Metallurgist / Welding Engineer
This position will involve working in the flux-cored wiremaking process in
(a) adapting formulations to suit customer requirements,
(b) customer service on welding-related issues,
(c) supporting the field sales personnel to understand and adapt our products to customer needs,
(d) able to prepare detailed reports on welding applications in order to get product approvals and
(e) assisting in quality control.
Application requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (or better) in Metallurgy, Welding Engineering or Materials Science
* Minimum 2 years work experience in a relevant field
* Logical and analytical thinker
* Mechanically-minded, and a good problem-solver
* Some hands-on welding experience
* Excellent English and Malay
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Job benefits:
