New 7 seater MPV Honda Freed akan masuk Malaysia

hmmm tak merasa la peyno pakai freed bawah 70k

prrrfthhhh

bukan ke dah downgrade spec tu.. sbb compare ngan japan spec ngan indon spec.. banyak function/material dah kena downgrade
tulang Post at 25-1-2010 11:25 AM

RM120K? mahalnya. Honda kena start assemble CKD kalau nak turunkan rega ke paras bawah RM100K.

Tp yer la...PeYno dah tentu tak mahu beli sebab dah didowngrade katanya. Proton lebih bagus dari Honda atau Toyota CKD.

Honda Malaysia to launch premium compact MPV
February 25, 2010 12:05 AM    Author: Chips

For some years now, Honda Malaysia’s range has been limited to six model lines – the City, Civic, Accord, CR-V, Stream and Odyssey – and with those six, the company has provided variety for different customer needs. But there are always niches which are untapped or new ones develop and one segment which Honda Malaysia has identified as having potential is the premium compact MPV segment, presently not being met by any carmaker.

With its new Freed model, Honda Malaysia will be the first to offer such a product in this segment. The model will be imported in CBU form from the factory of Honda Prospect Motor in Jakarta, Indonesia. Like Honda Malaysia, Honda Prospect Motor is a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Ltd. and had earlier also assembled the Stream for the ASEAN region.

The Freed may seem like just another MPV but it has a number of special features, the most significant being automatic sliding doors on both sides and a flat-floor walk-through cabin, firsts for compact MPVs in this market. Targeted at young urban families, the Freed has been designed to meet both functional and aesthetic prerequisites of an MPV.

“Since its official launch in Japan in 2008, the Freed has been well received in the Asia region. It later garnered great anticipation in Malaysia in 2009. Therefore, we are excited to inform that Honda Malaysia will be bringing in the Freed in the early part of the second quarter of this year,” said Toru Takahashi, Managing Director & CEO of Honda Malaysia.

n the 6th month after it was launched in May 2008, the Freed reached the No.1 spot in minivan sales in Japan and cumulative sales in Japan by the end of last year totalled more than 130,000 units. The model was also accorded the 'Best Value’ special award in the annual Japan Car of the Year 2008/2009 event.

Besides Indonesia, the Freed is also sold in Thailand and Singapore where it has been recognised for its great value-added package. The specifications for the Malaysian version will be released sometime in March.

tang peyno bold tu ada persoalan....

Freed ni pesaing dia adalah Sette/luminas/alza di jepun... tapi apasal freed ni jadi pilihan??

soalan kedua.... apasal freed lambat masuk market mesia berbanding negara asean lain??? gomen nak protect perodua yg baru keluar alza (direct competitor) bagi freed ni ke?
