Wenger raring to go

Arsene Wenger has warned the rest of The Premiership that Arsenal will come out all guns blazing this season.
The Gunners' fourth-place finish last term, coupled with the high-profile summer dealings of some of their rivals, has led some observers to virtually write off Arsenal's chances.
However, Wenger is confident that the experiences of last season, when his team overcame a disappointing league campaign to advance to the final of the UEFA Champions League, will stand them in good stead.
"I cannot wait to start the season because I want to come back, to be strong and to continue the progression of the team," said the Frenchman.
"I believe that what happened to us has created a unity inside the squad that will come out this season.
"This team has gone through thick and thin this year because we had been hammered for months. Yet we finished in a European cup final.
"That has created a special bond that we want to build on from the first game."
Wenger believes that he has the best crop of young players in the country, and he looks set to give many of them key roles to play over the coming months.
He insists that players such as Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby were not brought to the club simply to make up the numbers.
"I bought Diaby because he is a French prospect and because he has sheer power in the middle of the park," Wenger explained.
"He is the closest player to Patrick Vieira that I have seen.
"I signed Theo Walcott because I like his pace, his ability to time his runs and his clinical finishing.
"Also, because he is an English prospect and it is important that we have some English players coming through."
Wenger also underlined how Thierry Henry's decision to stay in North London had done wonders for the team's morale.
"For our young kids to develop we could not afford to lose our best player, and to go into next season knowing that he will lead them is a great boost," he commented.
