Kita pula membayar cukai sebanyak 45% utk petrol dan pengiraan terapung terkawal ni hanya govt je yg tahu..kalau tanya lebih2 nnt macai suruh gali sndri kt tengah laut tu..

Have no fear, RON97 will be available soon
2 December 2014 2:12 PM
KUALA LUMPUR: The RON97 petrol shortage will be replenished by end of the week, earliest by Friday.
Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumerism Datuk Seri Hasan Malek said new stock of RON97 was coming in and distributed to petrol pumps nationwide.
He said as of 10am, only 130 petrol pumps are not getting RON97 shortage compared to 177 stations last night.
"Following the drop in price of RON97, it has become a popular choice for consumers which led to the petrol shortage.
"The usual supply was 12 to 20 per cent only, but as you can see, many are opting for the premium fuel as the price gap is between RON95 and RON97 is not too far," he told reporters at the Back to School campaign and Support Malaysian Made Products Campaign at Aeon AU2 Setiawangsa today.
He also said the ministry planned to upload a simplified version of the formula to get the fuel prices soon.
He said this was to educate and avoid confusion between the government, consumers and suppliers.
Hasan also dismissed allegations that the fishermen community and public transportation such school buses, public buses and taxis were not getting diesel subsidies.
He said the ministry was still providing them with the agreed allocation. |

RON97 'out of stock' in places
PETALING JAYA: A number of petrol stations in the peninsula ran out of RON97 on the first day that subsidies were scrapped.
Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM) president Datuk Hashim Othman said at the moment, only one fuel provider was facing a supply shortage of RON97.
“I checked up on them and was told that they were expecting a fresh supply today (Monday), especially since the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry had instructed them to ‘speed up’ the process.
“However, it is unclear if it will be enough to restore the supply to normal,” he said when contacted yesterday.
Hashim also said the company had not made public the reason why the supply was short, but that it was rectifying the situation.
Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd later issued a statement confirming that a number of its retail stations in peninsular Malaysia were experiencing a shortage of V-Power 97 due to high demand.
“We are making every effort to restore supply to the affected sites. We remain committed to providing quality service to our customers,” the statement said.
On Twitter, one user complained about how she could not find RON97 despite going to almost all the petrol stations near her home in Bangi, while user @amanfirdaus simply uploaded a photo of a RON97 pump at a petrol station, bearing the signage “Sorry, out of stock”.
Other users however were not surprised by the low stock, saying that previously, far fewer motorists used RON97 for their vehicles.
Previously, Sin Chew Daily reported that the company admitted to the lack of supply, and that it was expecting the situation to improve over the next few days.
Other companies also told the daily that demand for RON97 was usually much lower.
Although most fuel providers noted that there had not been a drastic drop in supply just yet, they were working towards increasing supply in petrol stations in the peninsula. |

Vehicle owners irate over RON97 short supply
PETALING JAYA: Tempers are flaring among Malaysians as they flock to petrol stations only to find that the supply of RON97 fuel is running low.
Facebook user Napsiah Wan Salleh said she noticed that the situation had been going on for the past few days.
“One petrol station in Bangsar has displayed notices of RON97 having run dry. The station next to it still has RON97,” she said.
Another user, SilentSaint Kallen Anthony, said he went to two petrol stations in Sungai Long a few days ago, both of which did not have RON97 in stock.
“(I) went near Sg Ramal, (it’s) also the same,” he said.
A Facebook user from Johor Baru, Andrew Ho, said that there was also a shortage in his area.
“Yes, no stock at the petrol station in Taman Mutiara Rini JB,” he commented.
Other users, such as Chandrra Vejayan, Enmabaragesi Hassan and Rajesh Kanasan, confirmed that many petrol stations faced the same problem but did not specify the affected areas.
However, Noor Ashikin reported that there was no shortage in Penang. |

'RON97 shortage not our fault'
KUALA LUMPUR: Petrol dealers are fed up of being blamed for the shortage of RON97 and are insisting that it is the oil companies which are at fault.
Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM) president Datuk Hashim Othman said the oil companies were not providing them with sufficient supply, stressing that there was no reason for petrol dealers to hold back on sales of RON97.
“If we do not sell, we don’t earn. It is as simple as that,” he said when contacted.
He added that it was unfair that oil companies are silent over the scarcity of RON97 as there were shortages about three days before Dec 1.
On Dec 1, the Government scrapped subsidies for RON95 and diesel and adopted a managed float system, which resulted in the very low difference between the price of RON95 (RM2.26 per litre) and RON97 (RM2.46).
This caused many consumers to opt for RON97 with many petrol stations running out of supply. Hisham urged consumers to lodge reports with the Domestic, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) on stations that put up out-of-stock signs.
“Petrol dealers are supposed to have at least three days worth of stock and our licences can be withdrawn if we run out of stock,” he said, adding that this was because petrol and diesel were considered essential items.
“We (petrol dealers) don’t want to be blamed for something that is not our fault,” he said, adding that oil companies should be pressed to explain the reason behind the shortage.
A brief statement from Shell explained that the company was aware of the RON97 shortage and said that it was due to increased demand.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Hasan Malek said that the shortage of RON97 should be solved by week’s end.
“We are in talks with petrol dealers and oil companies and they have assured us that the issue would be dealt with soon.
“There are a total of 130 stations out of the 3,600 nationwide that do not have stock of RON97 but it has nothing to do with petrol hoarding,” he told reporters after launching a buy Malaysian-made goods campaign and back to school campaign in Setiawangsa yesterday. “Petrol dealers should ensure that they order more stock of RON97 but of course supply for any additional order will take time,” he said, adding that measures were being taken to restock petrol stations nationwide including by bringing in supply from Singapore.
He urged consumers to contact his ministry at 1800-886-800 on any issue over the inavailability of RON97.
Hasan said action would be taken against petrol dealers under the Supply Control Act 1961 if they were found guilty of hoarding or hiding petrol.
On a separate matter, he said that a simplified version of the formula used to calculate the price of RON95 and diesel would be put up on the ministry’s website soon pending approval from the Finance Ministry. |
