BIG NEWS!
SMAP will begin their nationwide summer stadium concert tour from 30 July at Sapporo Dome in celebration of their 15th anniversary as singers. They will be the No.1 Japanese artist to hold the most concerts for the most number of fans. The tour will end at Tokyo Dome on 3 October.
At the same time, Katori Shingo who is in Germany for the World Cup tournament, presented SMAP's new single, "buzzer beater" in a special package to the Japanese soccer team so as to encourage them to work hard for the next match against Croatia. The single is the theme song for TV Asahi's World Cup coverage programme. |

Some updated details of the new album from the official Victor Entertainment site. The new 2-disc album will come in Limited and Regular edition(first time for SMAP?) slated to release on 7/26, just 4 days before the tour commence. The new album is still untitled. The Limited edition will come in a special package sized 191mm~141mm~9mm. Though others details and tracklist has not been annouced yet but "Triangle" and "Dear WOMAN" will be included. The album can be pre-order at Cdjapan now.

The HERO SP achieved a high rating of 30.9% in the Kantou area and 27.8% in the Kansai area which makes it the highest-rated non-sports programme this year so far. As the OA timeslot coincided with Japanese soccer player Nakata Hidetoshi announcing his retirement from the national team and heading to Harvard in the US to study for his MBA, news programmes at other TV stations were screening reports of this matter which might have resulted in viewers switching channels.

The national tour celebrating their 15th anniversary will start on 31st July 2006 ;) |
