Spot the difference after Demi's 'surgery'

Demi Moore may be loath to face it, but a prowling pockmark appears to have revealed the secrets of her cosmetic surgery.
The actress has reportedly spent more than ?200,000 remodelling her body and face.
It's a move which has rejuvenated her career and brought her romance with a handsome toyboy. But for all their good work, Miss Moore's cosmetic surgeons have so far overlooked the rather telling pockmark which, over the years, seems to have mysteriously migrated across her map.

According to experts, the movement of the mark - which started life on her upper left cheek but has since shifted down and a little across - rather embarrassingly lifts the lid on what facial surgery she has undergone.
In 1990 - the year she made Ghost with Patrick Swayze - the peripatetic pockmark was so high on her left cheek it merged with the wrinkles around her eye.
In current pictures of 42-year-old Miss Moore, the mark is a little fainter but quite bizarrely has moved south and drifted towards her left ear.

Even allowing for the fact that she is smiling in the earlier picture, which would lift the mark slightly, it has still travelled some distance downwards.
Experts say the reason is down to facial surgery. The ageing process causes skin to sag, giving the face a jowly appearance.
Rejuvenating surgery on the lower face pulls the skin back around the ears and neck - in the process, shifting the pockmark down and across towards the ear.

Among the work Miss Moore has allegedly had is liposuction to her hips, thighs and stomach, estimated to have cost ?16,000, a ?9,500 breast implant and ?20,000 of facial work.
She has also paid an army of advisers including a nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga teacher and kick-boxing coach.

Over the years, Barry Manilow's most prominent feature has remained unchanged.

But remarkably, it seems, so has the rest of his face.

The 62-year-old singer with the unmistakable nasal profile appears to have been unaffected by the passing of time.

And as he arrived at a pre-Grammy awards party, he revealed an almost impossibly smooth, almost wrinkle-free, complexion.

'Barry does not seem to have aged one iota,' said a fellow partygoer at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.

'He has the same blond-tinted hair, although it is slightly less bouffant nowadays, and the same glowing permatan.

'But what is most striking - aside from his huge nose - is that his skin is so unlined.

'From a distance, he really does have the skin of a 30-year-old.' Perhaps Manilow's one concession to his more mature years was his more sedate dress sense - for him, at least.

His tailored red wine- coloured satin suit and black silk tie were certainly less flamboyant than the ruffled taffeta suits and blue leather jackets of years gone by.

Manilow's remarkably youthful appearance has prompted speculation that he has had a second bout of cosmetic surgery.

In 2003, the New York-born singer, who is currently playing three nights a week at the Las Vegas Hilton, was thought to have had a complete upper and lower facelift.

At the time, he was photographed emerging from a Beverly Hills clinic sporting a woman's long blonde wig, a baseball cap and sunglasses. The unconventional look was rounded off with a unseemly surgical gauze worn under his chin.

Plastic surgeon Alex Karidis, from St John and St Elizabeth hospital in North London, believes Manilow may have avoided the facelift this time in favour of other less invasive procedures.

'After Barry was caught so redhanded after plastic surgery last time, I doubt he'd want to go through that embarrassment again quite so soon - so he's probably not had another facelift,' he said yesterday.

'But where there's a small hollow under his chin, he looks to have had some fat removed.

'There is also a notable absence of nose to mouth lines, and whilst with many people time and age tend to empty out the cheeks, his look more filled out than in previous-years. This would suggest ample use of Botox, perhaps three to four treatments a year.

'His forehead is also incredibly smooth, which is again suggestive of a filler injection.'

Catherine Zeta-Jones - Look who's forgotten her lines

For centuries, mankind has been searching for the secret of eternal youth. Now Catherine Zeta-Jones seems to have found it.

At the premiere of her latest film, the 36-year-old actress looked remarkably fresh-faced - especially compared with her appearance several years ago.

Back in 1999, as she publicised the movie Entrapment alongside Sir Sean Connery, the then 29-year-old showed four deep wrinkles to the side of each eye as she smiled, and further folds in the skin under each eye.

But as she broke into a smile at the premiere of The Legend Of Zorro in Tokyo yesterday, those lines had miraculously vanished.

An onlooker said: 'Catherine looked incredibly youthful. Her hair was sleek and glossy and her complexion was flawless.

'But the most startling transformation was in the area where one would expect to see crow's feet. Instead of deep creases, the skin around her eyes was totally wrinkle-free. Perhaps she just had superbly applied make-up, but whatever the explanation, she looked more like a teenager.'

Last night plastic surgeon Dr Lucy Glancey said the Welsh actress may have had a little help.

She said: 'First off, Catherine looks as if she has had Botox to remove the crow's feet.

'She also looks to have had a socalled tear trough procedure, which is basically a filler that is injected into the bone. It is a specialised procedure costing up to ?600 and is used to correct the hollow area around the eyes, something Botox cannot do. The actual texture of Catherine's skin has probably also been improved through a form of volumising augmentation.

'I don't think she has had any surgical procedures, however, because an eye lift would change the shape of her eyes and that is not the case here.'

Four years ago Miss Zeta-Jones reportedly had an eye lift because she was concerned about fine wrinkles. Those claims were denied.

Her husband, 61-year- old Michael Douglas, is also thought to have had a face lift more recently. Last year, when the couple holidayed in Barbados, the Fatal Attraction star was seen with two bleeding scars in front of both ears.

His publicist denied surgery, insisting the actor had had benign lesions removed from his face.

Later that week he also appeared on the beach displaying a newly toned physique, prompting speculation that he had also undergone liposuction and a possible tummy tuck.

Six years ago Douglas reportedly paid ?7,000 to 'freshen up' his features with a face and eye lift before marrying Miss Zeta-Jones, who is 25 years his junior.
