Here's the complete comments from page 183 from the NIV.....
The Book of Numbers:
"It is not necessary, however, to claim that Numbers came from Moses' hand complete and in final form. Portions of the book were probably added by scribes or editors from later periods of Israel's history. For example, the protestation of the humility of Moses (12:3) would hardly be convincing if it came from his own mouth." (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 183)

Read the whole commentary first, before throwing your accusations. NIV Theo and Hist only says "added and edited" and they are fully aware of this and the know reasons behind it. Never did they say the bible was corrupted.
Notice that i'm not giving you a straight answers (not that it matters, coz u're going to ignore them anyway) so that you'll actually know what you're talking about, not just cut n paste from someone else ..ie mr osama abdallah. |

This is weird, the bible itself were altered by their own theologist,historians and how can it be the word of god?
i guess their god's words aren't perfect that's why they need human to altered it and too bad Debmey and DVP still believes it's the word of god afterall it's human that altered it.

The beauty of the Torah or the old testament to the christians is that it has been in existence for thousands of years.
The commentary you see are from historians who study the text in-depth in noticing where certain passages may have been added for clarity over the last few thousand years - for our present day knowledge.
It does not mean the meaning has been taken out of context.
I can equally say that your Quran and Hadiths have been edited also. See my previous threads.
But as you claim as a muslim to be a direct descendant of Abraham, then my friend you are just laughing at yourself as the old testament in the bible is the same book used by Abraham himself.
Learn more about your religion and where it came from before criticising.
And one more thing, if you didnt know, the quran also have a problem with "first person, third person" commentary in its writings also.
So dont make comments you dont understand as it makes u look really ....

Didn't they realized what they just say about their bible??? added & edited??? So if the theologist & historian think the bible was added and edited than what else should we say about the whole thing! just think about the word "added" & "edited", very easy laaa to understand!
