KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz debunked today an image on social media suggesting his wife Datin Seri Haflin Saiful as holding an official business card issued by his office. “I checked with her. She didn’t do it and my office did not give permission,” Nazri told Malay Mail Online when contacted. He added that everything business-related to the ministry must come from his office and have his explicit permission. “But truly, anything that comes from my office using the state emblem, needs to first seek permission and they must work here. So no permission was given,” he stressed. He said neither he nor his wife know how the card came about, but said anyone could create an image and post it on the Internet, purporting it as genuine. An image of the business card touting a Datin Seri Haflin S as the “Spouse-Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia” was circulated through social media platforms earlier today.
