Ikimonogakari Singing the Theme Song for and Visiting the Studio of [ゲゲゲの女房 / Gegege no Nyoubou]
Currently NHK is airing the follow-up novel series [ゲゲゲの女房 / Gegege no Nyou Bou], which is an autobiographic story by [ゲゲゲの鬼太郎 / Gegege no Kitarou] author Mizuki Shigure's wife Mura Nunoe. On April 20th, Ikimonogakari visited the studio in which the shooting was taking place, where they also encouraged the actress Matsushita Nao, who is playing the main role. The actress showed the band around the studio and singer Yoshioka Kiyoe was honestly impressed."There is a lot more tension here, it seems. It's completely different from the music programs."
They were also shown the opening scene to which their song was playing and Yoshioka commented: "I was completely brimming with joy, when we finished watching it! I really like the morning doramas, ever since I watched them with my mother when I was little. And I would record them on video, when I missed something and everyone in the family likes them very much still."
"I fee the same way," Matsushita added. "I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to do lots of different things and this is my "Thank You" for this." At the end of the episode, the name of Ikimonogakari is appearing under the "Special Thanks" section of the end roll.

After 10 Years Visual Kei Band Λucifer Announces their Comeback with Live Performances
Λucifer are a band, who debuted with the making of their featured Manga "快感♥フレーズ / KAIKAN♥Phrase" by Shinjo Mayu and the respective Anime series. It was an outstanding thing, when the band, who had seemingly sprung to live from the fictional work, debuted in 1999. However, in 2003 the band announced their break up to now make their comeback after more than 10 years.
The tour they will be going on - called "10th Anniversary Tour Rinne" - will lead them through Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya from April 25th to 29th. Pre-sales are currently running via the official homepage of the band and this chance should not be missed.
"Each of the band members pursued their own individual projects after the break up and it was rare that we kept continuing our lives in the music industry. Now that we have grown with these activities, we are really looking forward to playing music together again. It is great to be able to meet the fans again as well! It seems like there will be a lot of people gathering from that time, staff included. It will be a huge reunion with the fans." ATSURO commented on the plans.
Even people who don't knowΛucifer yet should take the chance and get to know them this time.

Charts: Ayu, Bump of Chicken
Ayumi Hamasaki's "Rock'n'Roll Circus" led the album rankings this week with over 205,000 copies sold. This is her tenth original album to top the charts, a feat last accomplished by Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi in 2003. The last female solo artist to do it was Yumi Matsutoya in 1988.
UVERworld ranked #2, while new releases from school food punishment and Kuranosuke Shiraishi occupied #9 and #10, respectively.
On the singles chart, Perfume failed to get another #1 single, as their double A-side "Fushizen na Girl / Natural ni Koishite" fell short against BUMP OF CHICKEN's "HAPPY," which sold 97,000 copies. Others in the top ten were Garnet Crow (#4), Angela Aki (#6), Kou Shibasaki (#8), and Tatsuro Yamashita (#9).
One single, Fuyumi Sakamoto's "Mata Kimi ni Koishiteru / Asia no Kaizoku," climbed the charts to #3, becoming her first song ever in the top three. The single was actually released in January 2009, but it took a commercial tie-in to finally launch the song high enough in the rankings.

jepun lain, tak mcm mesia... derang ader indie debut, ader major debut. indie debutpun leh ader album, single semer tp still dikira indie selagik derang bergerak sendiri atau di bawah indie labels. indie=independent, ramai org salah paham nih... indie leh jadik indie rock, indie jazz, indie blues etc etc... indie tak bermaksud rock band jer...
mcm ft island, yes, derang pernah ader album n single kat jepun... n jual ok la gak, tp derang still tak dikira major debut... nih yg baru derang nk major debut ngan flower rock.
so, bdk nih kite waser dier bukan major debut sbb kite kenal most of the 50 weekly artists yg release majorly... |
