Saudara R6,
It is not quite right to ask on which part of the govt service she or he wants to serve in. Every graduates, sure want to be in the management part of the service. The better question would always be which department you prefer to work at.
I am looking for that answer as well. Some PTD candidates would only look into certain oe perhaps particular ministry to work at. |

English proficiency shall not be the only cretirion for someone to be a PTD officer vis a vis PTD service does not only suitable for an english speaking person. PTD officer is someone who actually work as member of administration in the country, as some of them claimed to be cream de la cream of the of the government service, which, currently not proven to be that right, although it may, perhaps, have some truth. PTD officer should have some charisma as he she would one day become an administrator of the government agency. A PTD officer, the way I look at it, must be in a package, not by proficientcy of english per se but also must have the style, character, spirit or at the least preserverance to serve the country, albeit a small amount of pay at the end of the month.
Let not the reason to be a PTD officer is derived from inability to get a higher pay job in private sector. A PTD officer should be the one who is willing to serve irrespective of small pay in due course. Anyway, good luck in your attempts. You may one day get it.
ps: A quite good english i snot sufficient enough nowdays. Your english must be very good indeed.

The idea is to see the motivation. Whether the person has a specific focus or just general.

Can I ask a question, what is your motivation to be a PTD? This is especially for those who had taken the exam.

To Rainbowsix and akulahini (I assume both of you are PTDs) or any PTD that would like to share your opinion, experience, etc,
After you were officially qualified to be a PTD, what was in your mind? What was your objective(s), aim(s), mission(s)?
And after months or years in the service (it depends on how long you have been in the service), how far have you achived your initial objective(s), aim(s), mission(s)?
I pose these questions primarily because I have heard many negative comments / remarks about PTD, despite of the huge number of applicants interested for this particular position every year. Apparently, these two scenarios contradict each other. |
