Goalkeeper Petr Cech revealed the Blues believe that having silenced the Kop last week, they will now snuff out Liverpool as well.

Cech said: "At 1-0 to them, the whole stadium was rocking.

"They were buzzing and singing. And then all of a sudden - silence. If someone had dropped their keys, you'd have heard them hit the floor.

Jose Mourinho, who failed to deliver Chelsea to a Champions League final in three attempts, insisted yesterday that he would not be jealous of Avram Grant if he can overcome Liverpool at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night.


Mourinho, still out of football and currently promoting tourism in the Algarve, said: "No way will I be envious. There is something they cannot do, win a Premiership 50 years later, or win the first FA Cup final at the new Wembley.


"In the third season we got the European champions [Barcelona] in our group again and, after that we play Porto, and after that we play Valencia and after that, Liverpool again, always with the second leg away. So why Chelsea cannot be lucky?"
