ANDERSON MAY HAVE TO STAY AT MANYOO
Anderson may have to stay at Manchester United after all.
The Indy says that, though United 'are understood to have been receptive to an approach from Lyons to take Anderson on loan', 'his weekly wage of over £50,000 is an obstacle and the deal is unlikely to go through.'
There had been some hope from the Le Ligue side that United would be prepared to subsidise some of the 21-year-old's wages to enable them to find the kind of defensive midfielder they badly need, but discussions broke down. |

Nani has heaped praise on Manchester United chief Sir Alex Ferguson for helping him back to form.
In a sudden turnaround, Nani has found himself back in the first-team picture in recent weeks.
Nani was linked with a January move away from the club, but he is now back in favour following improved performances.
And the Portuguese star puts his resurgence firmly down to Ferguson's influence.
"Week by week the coach has shown more and more confidence in me and that has really helped," Nani told The Sun.
"United is not a very easy place to recover your place in the first team because there is such a big squad and I had problems at the start of this season.
"Injuries certainly damaged my performances and it was difficult.
"But Sir Alex was very clear with me - he spoke at length about what he expected and was always very positive.
"He changed my mentality and improved my morale over the past few months and now I think I am getting as much satisfaction from my performances as I ever had."
Nani insists people expecting him to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, are not realistic.
"As I've said before, I am Nani and not Cristiano Ronaldo. I don't want comparisons because our style of play is different."
He also stressed his commitment to the Red Devils.
"My future is at Manchester United. I've heard all the rumours but my mission is to stay and help the club win more titles," he said.
"I had a good game against Hull City. That's my challenge, to play more, get more minutes.
"I know what the coach expects from me and I'm trying to always offer my maximum level on the field." |
