boocik,
i baca kat tripadvisor, the hairy coo tu was the no 1 attraction in edinburgh. thank you for your recommendation. i tengah nak baca the reviews lagi, majority gave 2 thumbs up & 5 star for their services. but nak tanya la, how much tips to give cuz none in the review mentioned it.
and the journey can take up to 9 hours, that's pretty long. Did you feel bored at all tak? And i understand that they do stop somewhere for lunch & coffee break, by any chance you know the food is halal ke tak, or should i bring my own food?
i like history very much, so i can anticipate that i will enjoy the journey, but is it all about history or is there something else innit?
lastly, if i have to choose between the walking tour & the hairy coo, which is better in your opinion?
and do they have changing guard tak kat any of the castle there? |

oh, yes... memang i enjoyed the tour very2 much!
kalau u dapat guide donald tu memang tak berenti bercakap all those 9 hours tu.
the tour tu ada macam2. historic, scenic and fun.
i visit william wallace (braveheart) monument, pi tengok scenery kat loch lomond (one of the most beautiful lakes kat scotland), tengok highlands, pi stirling castle (tapi sebab i pegi during autumn, malam dia cepat so tak sempat masuk nak tour castle), pi tengok "hairy coo" (you kena pi sana baru tau apa ni... ha ha ha), tengok falkirk wheel and macam2 lagi.
kalau nak makan, dia buat stop kat small, quaint towns (i suka sebab town dia comel2 & very beautiful).
you boleh makan fish & chips dorang... kalau nak bawak food sendiri pun boleh.
dia tak larang pun you bawak your own food as long as you don't eat in the bus sebab dia tak suka bas dia kotor.
kalau you amik paid tour macam ni dengan company lain it's about GBP40 tapi i bagi dia EU50 + 10 scottish pound untuk 2 orang sebab masa tu i tak cukup pound sterling.
memang rasa macam mahal bagi banyak tu untuk sorang tapi kalau kira petrol dia and servis tip-top dia for 9 hours non-stop tu, memang ada mat salleh bagi tip lebih dari GBP40. tapi ye la, dorang earning in pound sterling boleh la....
i ni ala2 backpacker, kiranya yang i bagi tu pun dah banyak...

kalau kena pilih, of course i rekemen hairy coo tu dari the walking tour tu sebab lebih lama & lebih banyak tempat you pegi jauh2.
tapi walking tour tu pun very informative sebab dorang akan cerita history and local stories yang you takkan dapat dari internet....

salam,
tumpang lalu ye semua. Nana dh bbr hari layan thread ni, tp xkhatam2 lagi. huk3.
Nana akan ke london mid january ni. ada kursus di wandsworth/oxford. will be staying at Bayswater (grand plaza serviced apartment). 1st time nana nk gi oversea ni, so agak serabut gak la skrg ni.
agak2 masa mid january tu sejuk gile tak??semalam nk shopping winter coat pun mcm ala2 lost. sbb xtau nk beli winter coat yg mcmmana. lgpun xboleh nk agak kadar kesejukan kat sana. Nana ni jenis yg xberapa tahan sejuk, pasal lemak di badan kurang. so,ada apa2 tips utk shopping winter clothing tak? and, ada suggestion tak tempat yg sesuai dilawati di london time winter ni? sbb rasanya akan ada 1 day utk kitorg jalan2 before the courses start.
minta bantuan kawan2 semua ye.thanks. (Nana masih dlm proses nk khatamkan thread ni. so,xjumpa lg post yg berkaitan) |

to me quality baju kat primark tu okay... kalau tidak, takkan orang2 kat UK pun beli kat situ.

yes, yes, betul tu....
kalau nak tengok, ni fashion baju2 kat primark.... tak tau la pulak nampak macam mydin
ni ada newspaper cutting about primark:
Primark now Britain's second biggest clothes store, thanks to rise in disposable fashion
By SEAN POULTER
The credit crunch may be bad news for many high street shops - but not the cut-price clothing stores.
Primark, the UK's biggest "value fashion" chain, yesterday revealed its half-year takings rose 25 per cent to GBP899million as hard-pressed shoppers sought out bargains on its racks.
The increase gives Primark a 10 per cent share of UK clothing sales by volume, making it the second biggest seller.
It has overtaken Asda's George label and is now catching up on Marks & Spencer, which has a 12 per cent market share.
Maureen Hinton, retail analyst at Verdict Research, said: "Consumers are being quite selective about what they spend their money on. They are looking for value."
While once designer brands were everything, there is now great cachet in picking up a bargain from the likes of Primark, especially with many families' budgets tightening thanks to rising bills for food, power, transport and council tax.
Primark, whose profits reached GBP111million for the first half of its financial year, has been the main beneficiary but rivals such as New Look, TK Maxx, George, Tesco, Zara, Matalan and H&M have also benefited.
Primark's success is based on its ability to capture the latest catwalk trends and deliver cut-price versions within a matter of weeks.
It has won fans from across the income brackets, from the poorest shoppers to celebrities and models, who have dubbed it Pradamark.
According to former Tatler editor Jane Procter: "It's either Prada or Primark. I don't see the point of shopping anywhere in between."
The surge came in a year when the opening of Primark's flagship store in London's Oxford Street triggered a near riot, despite offering the same range as the chain's other stores.
"Value clothing has become a lot more accessible and more importantly acceptable, especially with the growth of Primark and the supermarkets," said a spokesman for retail analysts Mintel.
"For many the draw of the 'buy today, wear tonight, forget next week' outfit is just irresistible."
Primark may be catching M&S in the number of items it sells, but in terms of the value of those sales, M&S is still way ahead. It has 10.7 per cent, while Primark has 4.1 per cent.
Primark's results helped profits at its parent company Associated British Foods rise to GBP282million in the six months to March 1, up 5 per cent on the same period last year.
But ABF shares still fell sharply after chairman Martin Adamson warned of tough trading conditions across all the company's brands in the year ahead.
ni kalau nak compare dengan fashion yang lebih mahal.
pada boocik lebih baik beli murah tapi nampak mahal, dari beli mahal nampak murah ...
