K-pop singer Rain is going to give a free concert to some 40,000 fans on October 13 at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. The concert will be a warm up for his upcoming world tour entitled 'Rain's Coming'. According to KBS Global, the tour will start in December and last for five months. It will be the largest project in scale for world-tours even done by a Korean artist.
"Rain will perform in major cities of 12 countries, including the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, China and Korea, over a period of five months. The organizers said Rain's tour will be on par with Madonna抯 latest tour in terms of scale.
Rain said at a press conference yesterday that the purpose for giving the concert free of charge was to express his gratitude to his fans who have supported him for all this time. He will also launch a fund-raising campaign at the concert to help physically disabled people. |
