Liverpool boss reveals Real Madrid dream
Rafael Benitez admits he would love to end his career at Real Madrid.
The Liverpool boss hopes to extend his four-and-a-half year stay in England by penning a new contract at Anfield, but he would eventually like to return to Spain and coach the current La Liga champions.
"I am not thinking about leaving and I hope to be here for a long time but of course Real Madrid would be the perfect ending to anyone's career," he told The Guardian. "But my career is not at an end yet."
Benitez worked at the Bernabeu earlier in his career as a coach of one of their youth teams, but his biggest success in Spain came with Valencia who he led to two league titles and a Uefa Cup. |
