Asallkpop previously reported, Han Seungyeon of popular girl group Karatook a pretty hard fall during a recent performance of their latestsingle, Lupin, on MBC Music Core.
The performance left many Karafans wondering if Seungyeon was OK as her fall was big enough to createa large “thud” when she landed. However, Seungyeon graciously got upand finished the performance with no other major hiccups.
Assoon as Kara finished their performance, fans flocked to HanSeungyeon’s Cyworld minihompy to leave words of encouragement on herbehalf. The comments included, “Are you ok?” “I was really worried. Youfell so hard I thought you weren’t going to be able to get up,” and “Ithought it was really amazing that you got up afterwards and finishedyour performance,” amongst many others.
Although I’m sureSeungyeon wasembarrassed by the fall, something tells me theseheartwarming messages from her fans helped ease the pain.
SNSD, KARA, 2AM, etc celebrates Vancouver Winter Olympics success
Theend of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on February 28th saw South Koreaclaiming a record of 14 medals, it’s best-ever haul since it’s debut inthe competition in 1948. The result also saw Korea being ranked 5th inthe overall medal standings, behind traditional powerhouse nations.
Aspecial concert was held in the evening of March 7th at the Seoul CityPlaza to celebrate their achievements. Except for Kim Yuna who hasreturned to Toronto, Canada for training, the other 44 athletes werepresent to share their joy with the people who had gathered for thismemorable occasion.
Besides the athletes, Kpop singers likeSNSD, KARA, 2AM, Crying Nut, PSY, Kim Jang Hoon, Insooni also performedto add more glitter.
Girl group KARAdefinitely got rid of their sweet image when they prepared for Lupin.The silk and tight outfits that show off their style rather than skinis not only classy but also different from what other girl groups aredoing.
In a recent interview, Goo Hara said, “Right now, I’mhandling Invincible Youth and album promotions at the same time, buteveryone has been recognizing me and it’s an honor. Even though I’mtired, I have so much energy.”
She continued, “We had toexercise and control our diet because of our comeback but it didn’t putstress on us or anything. We like rice over bread so we didn’tsacrifice too much.”
The member that went through the biggestchange was Han Seungyeon. She cut half of her hair off and became moremature. She said, “When I first saw the sampling of the song, I wasvery hesitant about the image but now I’m getting used to it. Even nowI wonder, am I more fitting with a cute and bubbly image?”
GoddessGyuri said, “This is the first time KARA became ‘dark.’ Gyuri is anuncommon name so with Lupin, I want to make a name for myself.”
Nicolecommented, “I lost around 11 pounds. I don’t think my new haircut ispretty. It’s boyish, but it’s a change so I’m happy with it. I likesimple things so I liked this black concept for Lupin.”
MaknaeJiyoung pointed out the ice box nearby. She said, “There’s a lot ofchicken breast and fruit in there. We are taking good care of ourbodies. I’ve heard that I’m the cute one because I’m the maknae but Ithink it’s time to say goodbye to that image and those comments. I wantto be a different person this spring.”

Nicole who received the praises of being ’sexy’ and‘powerful’ said, “If I have make up on, unaware even to myself, I feelmore confident. The thicker the marke up, the more confidence I get.”
TheMC Yoo JaeSeok joked, “You’re pretty but I cannot see the white portionto your eyes.” leaving Nicole flustered for a moment.
