Jake Gyllenhaal Hits Cannes

Jake Gyllenhaal is in Cannes to support his film "Zodiac" which has been entered in the competition phase of the film festival. The film is based on the true story of the unlikely quest by Robert Graysmith, a cartoonist on the San Francisco Chronicle, to identify a 1960s serial killer known as the Zodiac. Gyllenhaal recalls the amazing experience he had working with Robert Downey Jr. on the film.
"A very good, typical actor has about 25 really interesting choices and ideas within a minute. And then there's Robert Downey Jr. who has, I would say, 500 to 750 ideas," Gyllenhaal said after the press screening of the film at Cannes.
"Some people would call that madness. I would call that genius," he said.
"You're running around an actor and then they're chasing you, all of a sudden -- that's a wonderful thing where rhythms are all over the place, it's like playing jazz with somebody."
If you haven't seen the film, it really is amazingly well acted. Don't be afraid of the serial killer premise. As director David Fincher said: "I don't think this is a serial killer movie, I think this is a newspaper movie"

Chloe Sevigny spotted canoodling with DJ Pauly D...
Chloe Sevigny is known as one of the most authentic alternative actresses/altbaguettes in the entire world right now. DJ Pauly D is a filthy guido who 'got famous' after the success of the hit television show Jersey Shore. Now he is a high-priced DJ who probably makes 'mad bank' [via club owners with 2 much money 2 waste].
It seems like they chilled out 2gether at a New York Knicks basketball game. Not sure if they are dating..
Chloe Sevigny spotted canoodling courtside at Knicks game with Alex Frankel of Holy Ghost!
Chloe Sevigny is 'a regular' at Knicks games, sitting courtside 2 improve her visible, consumer-facing New Yorker brand. Last year, she was spotted sitting with DJ Pauly D. It seems like she is a real NBA connoisseur, relieved that the lockout ended, but potentially still angry about the way the league handled the Chris Paul trade due to their ownership of the New Orleans Hornets.
Ur bangs look god, bb!
At last night's game between the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors, she was spotted canoodling with Alex Frankel, the 'frontman' of the popular buzzband Holy Ghost! It seems as if Alex Frankel is taking his personal brand 2 such great heights, slowly taking over DFA Records now that James Murphy has 'retired' in order to attain a 'bottles and models' lifestyle. Sevigny encountered young screenwriter and aspiring director Harmony Korine in Washington Square Park in New York City during her senior year of high school in 1993.[21][24] The two became close friends, which resulted in her being cast in the low-budget independent film Kids (1995).[10][25] Directed by Larry Clark and written by Korine, Sevigny plays a New York teenager who discovers she is HIV-positive. According to Sevigny, she was originally cast in a much smaller role in the film, but ended up replacing Canadian actress Mia Kirshner. Just two days before production began, the leading role went to the then-19-year-old Sevigny, who had no professional acting experience;[3][26][27] she said of her casting in the role, "Harmony [Korine] just thought I was this sweet, cute girl and he liked my blonde hair."[21]
Kids was controversial; the film was given an NC-17 rating by the Motion Picture Association of America for its graphic depiction of sexuality and recreational substance and drug use involving teenagers.[28] Despite its controversy, Kids was taken note of critically and commercially: respected film critic Janet Maslin considered the film a "wake-up call to the modern world" about the nature of the youth in urban life at the time.[29] Sevigny's performance was praised, with critics noting that she brought a tenderness to the chaotic, immoral nature of the film: "Sevigny provided the warm, reflective center in this feral film".[30] She ended up receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female.
