Apa yang aku find out .. selepas 20th pun tak akan ada improvement dalam bit torrent.. cuba website surfing pada international site je yang akan laju.. So memang confirm.. TMNET telah block torrent.. segala tracker international yang menggunakan http tak boleh connect.. :geram:

Haloo inchik. Kan sekarang ni ada masalah kabel kat taiwan. 6 batang plak tu. Satu pun lum siap baiki lagi. Kabel tu tu berada 4000 meter kat dasar laut. Lagi satu cuaca buruk kat sana. So internet takkan pulih dalam bulan ni. Orang lain pun takleh menorrent gak bukan inchik sorang. So manyakkan bersabar yek.
TMNUT tak block torrent cuma limitkan badwith jer.  . |

taiwan problem tu semua orang tau.. memang la bukan i sorang je yg ada masalah.. semua orang yg i tau tak boleh connect pada international tracker.. tmnet is blocking torrent client trackers to international peers by blocking the "user-agent" to international trackers, and/or throttling the speed. Lagi pun technician telekom sendiri cakap dia org akan buat sesuatu dgn p2p.. |

buat sesuatu tu banyak makna tu. tak semestinya mereka block. most probably just limit the bandwidth, especially in high traffic area. kalau semua forumers kata mereka tak boleh, then most probably memang kena block 100%. tapi kalau ada yang boleh without having to use proxy dan yang sewaktu dengannya, then it's not being block.
keep in mind, selagi kabel tu tak fix lagi, most internet traffics from asia are being diverted to atlantic route, which means that you have to share the bandwidth with europeans and middle easterners. to minimize/avoid congestion, they have to temporarily limit/block unnecessary traffics. otherwise, more important traffics will have difficulty to reach its destination.
so, if after the pacific route is fixed and the problem still persist, then you can say that p2p traffics are being blocked.

REPAIR work on the damaged undersea communication cables from the December 26 earthquake off Taiwan is making little progress due to poor equipment and bad weather.
Workers couldn't apply any electrical technologies or dispatch a robot, as the damaged cables are 4,000 meters deep under the water, said John Walters, general manager with Global Marine, one participant in the repair.
It will be a long time before Internet access is fully recovered between Asian and the US as workers are using "technologies of the 19th century to solve problems of the 21st century," Sina.com said today.
Workers have to adopt a method used in the 19th century to identify the location of the slender cables, whose diameter is about 21 centimeters, Walters said.
Global Marine has sent two repair ships to the Bashi Channel and the sea area of Luzon islands, along with another four from other rescue companies.
Each ship, 100 meters long, hosts around 60 crew members, who've been shifting work schedules for 24-hours every day.
However, the high winds over the channel brought waves of 10 to 12 meters in height, Walters said.
No single cable has been fully repaired till now, Walters said.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) would like to announce that its Internet services, which are experiencing some degradation in performance due to the international link outage caused by the earthquake off Taiwan on December 26th, 2006, has already recovered more than 80 per cent bandwidth capacity for its Internet traffic to-date.
The consortium is still fervently working towards the full restoration of the submarine cables affected by the incident. However, due to the bad weather conditions in that area hampering restoration works, we expect the full recovery of our bandwidth capacity for Internet traffic by January 23rd, 2007.
We wish to assure you that TM is doing all that is possible to fully restore our services as soon as possible. Your patience is much appreciated during this restoration process.
