ello, lama x msk dlm ni..aku bru jer gi interview for airasia aircraft engineer..ari jumaat lepas..mcm nak nangis jer dok dlm bilik 2...tnya mcm2 kat aku...diorang ckp nak amik 12 orang jer...fuh,x tau la dapat ke x dpt

ic... mine was at 23th of august. haha... i have alot of fun inside the interview, they are friendly

aku nyer interview 25 August.......there was 3 engineers....alll of them are malay...yeah, i've got a lot of experience there...diorang slalu wat jokes...

People always say that the third time is always the charm. And it truly is in my case. For the third time I went for AirAsia抯 cabin crew interview, I nailed it after I failed the previous two ones. Way to go Rafizah! I finally get to work with AirAsia. Despite me trying out for cabin crew, my main goal in the beginning was to be an engineer for the company which I did send them my resume for the engineering trainee position way before the opening of the cabin crew position. But by the time I started my cabin crew training, I still haven抰 heard from them so I told myself to make the best of it and hopefully in the future once I抳e gained enough experience being a stewardess, I could apply the engineering post.

On the 11th September 2006, I was formally a cabin crew trainee. With this, I salute all AirAsia抯 cabin crew and their trainers because I never knew that to be a cabin crew is so not easy and at the same time we have to look good too. We had to go through exams every single week during training, sometimes two papers a week. The training was only for eight weeks so our schedule was pretty tight. Our training was focused more on safety, first aid, door drills, wet drills, fire drills and other related subjects. As we were tested on every single subject, we were bound to make sure that we do not fail any of them. Unlike any other low cost airlines that I know of, safety is definitely the main priority for AirAsia and it makes me proud to be a part of it.

On the 5th week of my 8 weeks training, finally I received a call saying that I made it for the engineering trainee position. I can抰 hardly believe it myself厖there I was, living two of my dreams at the same time. It was unbelievable as I hear En Azahari and Anaz confirmed that I made it and will be joining 32 other trainees including two other girls for the 4 years training to obtain the license in becoming a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer. They were also kind enough to let me finish my sny抯 first before I have to report myself at the engineering department on the 13th November.

Supernumerary, or commonly known as Sny is sort of on job training for the cabin crew while on flight, we have to observe other crews and will be guided by the senior flight attendant and other primary crews. I was scheduled for two sny抯 which were on the 10th and 11th November. And the experience was amazing. I get to see how all the training actually being applied and how important cabin crews are. If you ask me, I enjoyed the most when the in flight sales were conducted and when we deal with the passengers. It抯 something that you抣l never feel elsewhere. The satisfaction and how you yourself can feel that you抮e really committed as a team to make things happen. I was fortunate to have worked with these great crews during my Sny. They were really focused and dedicated on work and at the same time, helped and guided me even knowing that I would be transferred to engineering. Sigh
