Rustic French Apple Tart
Ingredients:
1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thin
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Pastry: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit your tart pan. Place the pastry in the pan and trim any excess.
Apple Preparation: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated.
Arrange the Apples: Layer the apple mixture evenly over the puff pastry, starting from the outside and working your way in. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
Egg Wash: Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a nice golden color when baked.
Bake: Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the pastry is golden brown.
Cool and Serve: Let the tart cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, then slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Here’s a delightful recipe for Dulce De Leche Thumbprint Cookies that are buttery, sweet, and perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
For the Cookies:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) for rolling (optional)
For the Filling:
1 cup dulce de leche (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
Prepare the Cookies:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
Add Extracts: Mix in the vanilla extract and almond extract (if using).
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
Shape Cookies: If desired, roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). If using nuts, you can roll the dough balls in the chopped nuts before placing them on the baking sheet.
