The Korean actor becomes a taxi driver!
In the competitive and highly-perfectionist world of acting, it is not uncommon for actors to take on regular, everyday jobs as practice and preparation for a movie role. But for a famous artiste to put his acting career on hold indefinitely so he can take on a regular, everyday job... now that's just simply unheard of! But that's what Korean actor LEE BYUNG-HUN decided he would do.
In a recent interview, the Korean star told journalists that he had become a taxi driver, working the graveyard shift. He also revealed that in the one month since he had begun his new occupation, he had only been recognised by one passenger. Either Lee's been doing a good job of disguising himself, or his passengers have all been too drunk to notice.
According to reports, his recent urge to give up his day job began after he finished shooting the film Dalkomhan Insaeng. That was when Lee borrowed a taxi from a friend and decided to give the cab driver's life a shot. Driving all around the streets and alleyways of Seoul, the actor chose the midnight shift so he could avoid being recognised by his fans, and always wore a cap to disguise himself.
He is quoted as saying: "I wanted to look for a job that is totally different from an artiste's so I could rest and recall what it felt like to be an ordinary person. This has been an unforgettable experience. I have chatted with passengers from all walks of life, and I've gained a lot from the experience. I've learnt a lot about society and heard the latest updates on all kinds of subjects, all this knowledge of which can only help me in my acting." Hmmm, well it's good to know he's planning on returning to acting...
Since making his debut in the television drama Asphalt My Hometown in 1991, Lee has risen quickly to become one of Korea's more famous actors. His role in Bungee Jumping of Their Own made the critics sit up and take notice, and it certainly didn't hurt that he speaks English, French and Mandarin, in addition to his mother-tongue, Korean.
According to research conducted by an American magazine, the 36-year-old and fellow actor JEON JI-HYUN also have the kind of Asian features that are most sought after in Hollywood, so it's no surprise really, that his management company are planning to bring their artiste over to the big U.S of A. Besides the exposure and opportunity to build his fan-base, who knows, Lee just might make it big in Hollywood yet.

LBH tetap dihati....skang kat bilik sendiri dah ada dvd kadang2 tu ulang gak BD.....EHAS....
Bittersweet pun ada jer kat tepi tilam tu...

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dia tak hensem mana..tak kiut mana...tapi kemachoannya dan aura tu selalu bikin hatiku runtun

tak tau naper.....

Hi nzhass79, welcome... rasanya dah pernah post kat sini kan ... tapi tak kisahlah... mana2 pun sama, kan. Wah... suka your avatar... Jae Hee lagi tu.
Tentang persoalan kapel untuk CJW ni... hmm... susah nak jawab... kena tanya tuan punya badan... dia suka sapa sebenarnya.  Walaupun kita ni agak2 biased bila bab2 BD ni ... and LBH & CJW pun memang baik/rapat in real life, tak boleh nak cakap siapa yang mereka benar2 suka. Senang cerita, siapa yang LBH berkenan... siapa yang CJW suka, kita ikut & sokong dari jauh... jauh...
Kalau tak silap cakap, dulu CJW & BYJ memang berkapel masa dan lepas WS. Tapi... tak taulah apa jadi... langsung break... break terus. Tak jumpa2... even dalam ceremonies pun, kalau sorang ada... sorang lagi duk jauh2 atau tak datang langsung/busy/ada appointment lain/etc. Tapi tak taulah masa depan macamana... mungkin baik balik... who knows.
Dengan LBH pula, walaupun lepas BD, dia dengan CJW bawa haluan & karier masing2... in 2004, they all jumpa balik dalam CF untuk KNTO, lepas tu berlakon sama dalam filem EHAS, tu tak masuk dengan segala promo2 di Korea & Jepun. In 2005 pulak, jumpa lagi dalam Concert BD di Tokyo... magazines, etc. Tahun 2006, CJW jadi jemputan khas dalam mega fanmeet LBH di Tokyo, hujung tahun... digabungkan dalam CF baru 9th Avenue. Tu tak masuk messages dari LBH untuk CJW masa fan meet /concert dia pulak.
Maybe lah... sebab dua2 pun pernah bercinta dan kecewa... masing2 faham and masa BD dulupun, they all memang baik... LBH banyak ajar CJW cara berlakon, giving her more confidence etc. Dan JW pulak... bila movie LBH punya premiere, dah dua kali dia pergi support (Addiction & Once in a Summer).
Tapi kita tak taulah kan... jodoh ni bukannya kita yang tentukan. Macam Jeon Do Yeon (heroin Lovers in Prague/Untold Scandal), tiba2... dah nak kahwin bulan depan, lepas jumpa sorang businessman late last year. Tak sangka, tiba2 je... kalau dah sampai jodoh, tak payah tunggu2 lagi.
Aish... banyak pulak cerita tapi tak jawab soalan jugak. Personally, memang suka BD & LBH especially... suka dengan watak & cinta Minchul dan Yeonsoo. Tapi, from observation... saya tengok LBH & CJW, their personality taklah macam Minchul & Yeonsoo... tapi they can get along dari dulu sampai sekarang.
Kalau hati masing2 terbuka dan suka each other... KITA LAGILAH SUKA. |
