Jiah's cell phone record shows that the last call she made before ending her life was to Suraj
Jiah Khan's tragic death last night has shocked the entire film fraternity. The 25-year-old actor hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her Juhu apartment. Since no suicide note was found, the police are trying to gather every possible clue from every possible source to know the exact cause that led Jiah to take such a drastic step. While Jiah's friends and family members claim that the actor was not happy with her Bollywood career, speculations are rife that some crisis in her personal life triggered Jiah to take the extreme step.
Apparently, Jiah was dating actor Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj Pancholi for the last one year and a half years. We gather that the Pancholi family was friends with Jiah's family. And now the police have taken Suraj into custody for questioning. We also learn that Jiah's call history suggests that she had called Suraj at around 10:15 pm on Monday night before hanging herself with her dupatta.
The young starlet shot to fame after breaking into Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma's controversial movie Nishabd starring Amitabh Bachchan. Later she was seen Aamir Khan's Ghajini and Akshay Kumar's Housefull. For the last three years though, she did not work in any movies and was said to be highly disappointed with her career

My photog sent me these pictures from outside the police station taken earlier this afternoon. Today the police questioned around 10 people, including Suraj Pancholi (son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab) revealing that he was the last person she spoke to before taking her own life around 11:15pm last night. According to the police, she spoke to Suraj around 10:40 PM… Geez, that can’t be easy. Whatever their relationship drama, what do you do if someone ups and kills themself? Obviously Suraj went to the police station with his parents for support.
Jiah Khan’s mother Razia Khan as well as her Nishabd director Ram Gopal Verma have said she was struggling and unhappy with her acting career, having last appeared in a supporting role in Sajid Khan‘s multi-starrer comedy Housefull in 2010. Her mother also indicated she was exploring an alterate career as an interior designer.
Apparently she had been to Hyderabad on June 2 for an audition which did not go well. In Suraj’s statement he revealed that she was depressed about an audition for a South Indian film.
After three gruelling hours the police revealed that Jiah and Suraj exchanged some texts where Jiah was questioning his loyalty. There were a few missed calls on her phone from Suraj post the exchange but by that time she had ended her life. The police are still trying to determine if Jiah indicated her intention to take her own life to Suraj in any way.
The ABP Newswire tweeted that Suraj Pancholi told the police they were in a relationship and that Jiah did not have job, “she told me she was about to get three films, I sent her flowers.” He further said, “Jiah wanted me to call her every hour, she was insecure, she spoke to me at 10.53 pm, she did not answer my SMS at 11.07pm.”

The Kapoor family gets together to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s 25th death anniversary
Ranbir Kapoor, basking in the success of his latest film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, joined his family along with the extended Kapoor clan to celebrate the 25th death anniversary of the legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor.
All of Kapoor’s children including daughters Ritu Nanda and Rima Kapoor attended the affair at the iconic RK bungalow in Chembur. Apparently, Raj Kapoor’s wife Krishna Kapoor told all those gathered that no celebration would be complete without the food and drinks that her husband was so fond of. So after the puja, the Kapoors all launched into the choicest delicacies as champagne flowed and memories were pondered upon.
Like any other family, the Kapoors too have their share of tiffs but all those were forgotten as the two warring bahus Babita Kapoor and Neetu Singh left their differences aside on this grand occasion. “Everyone looked very relaxed in the presence of each other. It was heartwarming to see Babita and Neetu speaking to each other warmly,” said Randhir Kapoor. The only person conspicuous by her absence was Kareena Kapoor as she was away shooting for her film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, however sister Karisma Kapoor made up for it!
So, there you have it. One big happy filmi family!

It’s not often that two of Bollywood’s biggest superstars are cast alongside each other. And if they are, it’s at the most a walk-in part or a special appearance. However, if sources are to be believed, fans may get a chance to see their two favourite celebs Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan act alongside each other in R Balki’s next film.
Apparently, the director has already approached Big B with whom he shares a great equation. The two have done films like Paa and Cheeni Kum together, which were appreciated by critics and audiences alike.
So, it seems Big B is already convinced. Now the ball is in SRK’s court. Will Balki be able to convince King Khan? Its wait and watch, folks!
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag song Mera yaar: Farhan Akhtar writes a love letter to Sonam Kapoor!
After releasing the inspiring and high-energy track Zinda, the makers of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag present a romantic song, Mera yaar featuring the lead couple – Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor. The song, shot in the narrow lanes of a village, has an earthy feel to it, as we see a cute looking Farhan (in a pagdi) riding a cycle wooing his ladylove Sonam and eventually crashing into her in typical filmi style!
From stalking her in a borewell queue to chasing her till her home, Farhan follows Sonam everywhere. He finally reveals his ‘I love you’ feelings through a letter inserted in a rubber ball and throws it at her place. And guess what, she reverts with ‘main bhi’!
With Mera yaar, the composer trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has attempted something new and set a higher standard for themselves. The track starts off with vibrant beats and then moves into the Sufi zone. Sung by Javed Bashir, the words have been penned by ace lyricist Prasoon Joshi.
