Phase 1A of Impression City rakes in RM461 mil in sales
[size=13.3333px]MELAKA (Oct 26): Tourism and cultural property developer Yong Tai Bhd has recorded en-bloc sales of RM461 million from Phase 1A of mixed-use development Impression City here.
[size=13.3333px]The group said in a statement today that it has entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Orient Venture Properties Bhd on the en-bloc sale.
[size=13.3333px]Group chief executive officer Boo Kuang Loon (pictured[size=13.3333px]) said the company has also locked in a RM412 million worth of fit-out contract with Orient Venture Properties to carry out renovation works on the property.
[size=13.3333px]“The RM461 million property sales and RM412 million fit-out contract are expected to contribute positively to our 2017 financial results,” Boo added.
[size=13.3333px]The group is also finalising and securing an investment and/or financing of about RM800 million from Golden Bridge United Holdings Group (H.K.) Limited (Golden Bridge) to facilitate the implementation of the Impression [size=13.3333px]Melaka[size=13.3333px] and Impression City projects.
[size=13.3333px]Yong Tai has also entered into five separate agreements with Golden Bridge, HuaXin PuHui Asset Management Co Ltd, Orient Venture Properties, the 6th Engineering Bureau of China City Construction Holding Group Company, Apple Impression Sdn Bhd, GTC Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd and Guangxi Gulf Culture Star Co Ltd to kick start the RM5.4 billion gross development value Impression City project today.
[size=13.3333px]The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka Tun Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakob and Chief Minister of Melaka Datuk Seri Idris Haron.

[size=13.3333px]T.A.G Marine Sdn Bhd, operator of Kuala Linggi Port in Malacca, is in the midst of evaluating potential foreign investors for its RM12.5 billion expansion plans.
[size=13.3333px]The private marine company's managing director, Datuk Wira Noor Mustafa Kamal Yahya, said T.A.G Marine is evaluating a few proposals from Chinese, Dutch and American companies.
[size=13.3333px]T.A.G Marine's plans are to transform and upgrade the facility into the Kuala Linggi International Port (KLIP), the world's preferred shipping hub in the Straits of Malacca.
[size=13.3333px]"I think it's a dream to have it. We are very serious about what we are building," Noormustafa said at a press conference after the launch of KLIP yesterday.
[size=13.3333px]The event was attended by Governor of Malacca, Tun Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Mohd Khalil Yaakob; Second Minister of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan; and Member of State Assembly and State Executive Council Malacca, Datuk AR Ismail Othman.

[size=13.3333px]Noormustafa said KLIP will be developed in four phases, which will comprise a hard standing port premises, a 1.5-meter cubic tank facility, as well as a heavy fabrication yard and ship repair facility.
[size=13.3333px]The Kuala Linggi Port has been operated by T.A.G Marine for 10 years. The company's operations include maritime services, ship-to-ship operations, pilotage and support craft services, as well as ship husbandry.

[size=13.3333px]Melaka menyasarkan untuk menarik pelaburan China berjumlah RM30 bilion merangkumi pelbagai sektor dalam tempoh 15 tahun, kata Ketua Menteri Datuk Seri Idris Haron.
[size=13.3333px]Menurutnya, usaha itu disokong oleh kemudahan perkhidmatan penerbangan terus sewa khas antara Guangdao ke negeri ini yang turut meningkatkan hubungan dua hala China-Melaka.
[size=13.3333px]"Pelaburan akan datang dalam pelbagai sudut terutama pembinaan pelabuhan laut dalam, penggunaan tanah-tanah yang ditambak di sepanjang pantai, pembangunan penginapan serta pusat perdagangan di peringkat serantau.
[size=13.3333px]"Ada pelabur China yang akan membina hotel Sheraton di Klebang dengan kemudahan lebih 300 bilik membabitkan pelaburan melebihi RM300 juta[size=13.3333px]," katanya.
[size=13.3333px]Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas majlis sambutan penerbangan terus pertama sewa khas Guangdong ke Melaka yang turut dihadiri Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong dan Duta China di Malaysia Dr Huang Huikang.
[size=13.3333px]Penerbangan sulung selama empat jam dari Guandong itu membawa 116 penumpang termasuk pelancong dan anggota media China, wakil tempatan dan pegawai kerajaan negeri.
[size=13.3333px]Mengulas penerbangan sewa khas itu, beliau berkata Melaka menyasarkan kehadiran tiga juta pelancong China dalam tempoh setahun bermula hari ini.
