Selangor face acid test from former players
By ERIC SAMUEL
PETALING JAYA: Selangor's toothless strike force will be put to the test against their former rejects in Malacca in the opening game of the Super League at the Shah Alam Stadium tonight.
The FA of Selangor (FAS), deciding to start the season without any foreign players in a team consisting of mostly Under-23 boys, will be hard pressed to get a favourable result.
The lack of experience in Dollah Salleh's squad this season was glaring, based on their winless three-match tour of Jakarta recently.
Dollah is under tremendous pressure to get a good start after leading the Red Giants to the treble in 2005.
揑t's going to be tough under the present circumstances. We have no foreign players and on top of that our two national strikers are still recovering from long-term knee injuries, |
