Doc,adakah tahap metabolisme ni berbeza ikut races..and betul ke utk lose weight diet dia berbeza mengikut jenis darah individu?

yoga tu ok ker untuk mengurangkan berat badan???? or xtvt apa yg ok tok turun kan berat badan??? sy skrg sibuk ber elliptical pas tu kekadang wat gak la yoga (basic) n cardio kickboxing... huhu... tapi berat badan tak turun banyak pon... tp inch turun r...(setelah 1 tahun bergym) pas tu cam ner nak kurangkan veseral fat eh??? veseral fat sy agak tinggi... huhu...

U sama ng i kot..dlu g gym ng tredmill n elliptical bagai..pastu follow video..tp berat langsung x kurang..tp baju jd longgar..apa yg x muat dlu dah boleh pakai..n semua org tego dah susut nampak..

bila u g gym and buat fitness program, u dah burn those calories.. so u punya fat dah digantikan dengan muscle.. sebab tu bila timbang, tak nampak penurunan berat... on the other words, berat maintain tapi dah digantikan lemak dengan muscle. sebab tu kurus tapi berat tak turun..

oh adik u ada medical cause ek for that obesity ek. apa tu, yg common eg hypothyroidism etc etc ke atau yg lebih rare eg familial hypertryglidaemia ke apa ke?
maybe leptin deficiency, yg very difficult to treat.. pakai leptin... which is experimental.
dieting tak akan effective until underlying cause gets treated.

ha ha sorry kak. tapi, di mana pon, the principal of weight management sama je kak.
makan kena ontime, reduce portion  size, brisk walking 45min after work everyday.
beli la pedometer..

doc, question... orang yang obes ni, chances untuk dapat slipe disc atau sakit belakang is more higher than noermal person,kan? sebab kat opis ni, kebanyakkan yang kena adalah mereka yang berbadan xxl ke atas..

hmm i pon penah dgr pasal ni tetapi medically sekarang kita tak tekankan langsung perbezaan blood type tu.
yes true, metabolism mmg can be different between races; contoh u can see Blacks gi gym jam je terus naik muscles.

also, you can see eg org org fiji semua nmpk gemuk gemuk
indians tak ramai yg gemuk..
ttapi itu semua adalah factor yg tidak sepatutnya meghalang kita dari getting a healthy lifestyle and active physical lives.

wawa guna technique apa to check your visceral fat levels?
i know of simple electrical tests to do this, we have it our clinic, but all these are estimation.
overall kan, myself, our psychologists, dieticians and physiotherapist tak la distinguish between the visceral and superficial fat in our effort to reduce the patients weight (or to maintain their current weight).

yoga ni more toiwards minda kan? not so much of a calorie burners kalau tak silap i.
tapi proponents for yoga will tell you otherwise.

yes that could be true, tetapi kita kene ingat that it is really not easy to build muscle up; most of the time bila u work on your fatty tissue, they will be used to provide energy for your physical exertion; maybe a small number of your skeletal muscle fibers will hypertrophy to increase its bulk.

remember that gyms burn alot calories, so much so your hypothalamus will make u gi cari food after.

slow weight loss is very importan t so that the brain doesnt g into a defensive mode and make u search for food.
research hv shown slow weight loss is important for maintenance of this lower weight.

unfortunately, we all tergolong dalam golongan tengah, ie yg biasa biasa je and many will never get to the above hot body.
but yes I agree, exercise can achieve this.

yes memang.. actually, lower back pain (and knee / hip / foot pain) are among the very common reasons why an obese person tak dating kerja for that day. absenteeism common this way unfortunately, and employers can lose millions of pounds in reduced productivities.

sy gi gym... kat gym sy ada weight machine yg mmg kira visceral fat sekali... tu yg tau... huhu....

i tak minat zumba... lebih pada body combat n yoga....

betul, weight training burns a lot of calories.. but if not mistaken, the burning process take 24 hours duration. Reason is badan akan keep burn calories sebab nak support pembentukkan tisu otot yang baru menggantikan tisu otot yang rosak/mati akibat weight training tadi.. so, bila u makan, kalori tu tak sempat bertukar menjadi fats.. tapi dengan syarat u g gym every alternate day.. jangan pegi sekali pastu makan and tido.. hehehe..

cardio like jog also help to burns the calories.. tapi tak bape efektif sbb pembakaran kalori hanya bertahan selama beberapa jam selepas aktiviti tu. ada pendapat mengatakan jogging yang terlalu konsisten tak berapa membantu dalam pembakaran calories.. sebab tu kalau boleh, buat HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)..

saya nyer routine adalah Isnin, Rabu, Jumaat - Cardio sy akan pastikan sy burn 400kcl... slalunya klu guna elliptical mmg dpt la... tapi klu guna treadmill mmg tak... and Selasa & Khamis sy wat abs ngan weight sikit2... slalu sy buat tricep push down, chest press, chest incline, chest aper tah lagi satu tu... pas tu wat leg... sabtu sy wat yoga (vinyasa) n body combat (klu x bz)

dulu sy rajin la gak guna dumbell pas tu tah per sal sy mls lak skrg n rasa x cukup masa... dulu slalu xcercise lunch time... skrg pagi... so dpt xcercise dlm 40-45 minit jer... dulu sy pastikan sy dapat xcercise 1 jam....  berat sy maintain 61-62kg... kdg2 jd 63.... bulan puasa hari tu dapat lah dpn tu tukar angka 5... tapi 59.9... hehe... sy target nak dptkan balik berat 49-50kg... tapi cam susah jer... sy join gym da dkt 1 thn... dari berat 65kg turun stakat 61-62 kg untuk satu thn mmg truk kan... nsb baik sy bkn jenis give up....

Am in total agreement with storyboard.
However, any activity that we undertake have to be a sustained activity; ie takleh buat setahun je, then give up; any let up can easily bring back perangai lama and  the weight. Itu sebab WHO syorkan 45 mins brisk walk after daily rutin everyday. Dah kol 0230 pagi.. I nak masuk tido. esok kene present, senior doctors yg tua tua ni byk soalan akan tanya I
