imagine AM modulation ... low frequency signal disuperimpose dengan high frequency signal .. kalau observe signal high frequency tu macam ada envelope
vitesse de groupe (propagation group velocity) : kelajuan envelope tu bergerak dari point A to point B..
vitesse de phase (propagation angular velocity): kelajuan a fix angle utk bergerak ke next nearest point having the same angle

oh ok ..i faham a little bit sbb yes in form 5 physic we did learn about frequency modulation in tv/radio system ..and so on.....how to modulate sound wave to radio wave.... yes faham jugak sikit-sikit pasal enveloping effect tu ..oh now i can see the relevance of this thing....bless you....

ini bukan limited kepada am modulation .. this is general to wave propagation ... yang i cakap pasal AM sbb nak explain pasal envelope tu .. but it can be any wave .. |

fiber optic berlubang...?? and it does not cause any aberration in the light pathway?
ni level SPM je kak. ye..tapi saya nak tanya ...fibre optic nie at the basic level/ in the principle just adopt the concept of "pantulan dlm penuh" right? so if it has "lubang' then ..mam mane ia berfungsi?? |

if i'm not mistaken, they are using this fiber optic utk detect petrol dalam laut, ..
light can go thru .. so they can see under the deep ocean, and the gas can come up ikut lubang tu, so they can detect what gas is it.... apparently it works .. tapi detail lagi camne dia berfungsi .. i tak tahu .. i tengok to kat satu simposium masa i dekat nak abis belajar ..
actually, kalau ade lubang pun.. as long as hukum snell tu respected, everything will be fine .. |

light is modelised by photons ...
light itself is a electromagnetic waves .. which propagates from one source to somewhere else ..
in the case fo sun to earth light ... these photons are supllied by the sun.. and they move towards earth (and all other places) ...
photons have no mass .. so the space is still vacuum ;) |

Milo Ice : don't worry .. spm sylabbus is very incomplete compared to french baccalaureat.. esp physics, chemistry and math (add math included) .. french ppl took baccalaureat at the age of 17 (average) .. but they know a lot more than our spm candidates .. |
