tahu a part of Islam thingy... But now ramai orang makin confused ter utama di barat apabila negara islam sendiri tolong israel seperti saudi (bukan akak lah)... Sepatut nya negara islam lain seperti pakistan.. Malaysia.. Indonesia et. protest di buat di embassy negara ereb / muslim country and turkey yang kuat untuk bela palestine force depa untuk settle issue saudi.. iran and amerika...israel tidak akan pilih cease fire selagi ada negara islam intervene bagi puak hamas... Saudi Arabia shoots down Houthi missile from Yemen heading towards Israel
Missile launch demonstrates regional impact of the war against Iranian-supported Hamas
The Wall Street Journal reported that one of the missile fired towards Israel by Houthi rebels in Yemen was intercepted by Saudi Arabia.
Initial reports claimed that the United States had intercepted 5 missiles towards Israel.
The USS Carney, a guided missile cruiser operating in the Red Sea, shot down four cruise missiles fired by the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.
According to the WSJ, the fifth missile was intercepted by Saudi air defense systems, operating to protect Saudi airspace.
Saudi Arabia has several patriot missile defense systems which it has acquired from the United States.
Houthi rebels, funded and supported by Iran, have fired multiple cruise missiles towards Saudi Arabia over the past few years, following the Houthi rebellion in Yemen.
After the Hamas invasion and attack in Israel on Oct. 7, and the subsequent U.S. announcement stating full support for Israel, the Houthis announced their readiness to participate in attacks on Israel.
“Operation Al-Aqsa Flood is a great and important operation that came within the framework of the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to confront the unjust and occupying enemy,” Houthi leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi stated.
He also threatened, “if the US intervenes directly, we are ready to participate in missile bombardment, marches and military options.”
With Iran’s continued support for the Houthis, and fielding of longer-range missiles, the Houthi threat against Israel appear to be increasing.
Saudi Arabia has been engaged in fighting against the rebels through its coalition group in Yemen.
On Oct. 16, al-Houthi posted a message to X, formerly Twitter, blasting Saudi Arabia for not allowing fighters from Yemen to move north to battle alongside Hamas, and for not joining the “resistance” themselves.
Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder said there is no information to indicate that Iran “explicitly ordered” the missile attacks, while another defense official said, “there’s Iranian fingerprints all over it.”
In the days following the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, several Iranian-linked groups announced they were prepared “to intervene” against “the Zionist-American axis.”
Following that launch, and several other attacks by Iranian-affiliated groups against U.S. forces in the Middle East, the Pentagon sent additional air defense systems to its positions in the region.
