Celine Dion's tips helped Mariah Carey get pregnant 10/30/2010
Mariah Carey decided to try a treatment that Celine Dion raved about, and now Mariah Carey is pregnant!

Mariah Carey tried acupuncture to help her get pregnant after she heard Celine Dion rave about the treatment. Not only did it help Carey get pregnant, but it also helped her battle stress, reports the Toronto Sun.
Carey suffered a miscarriage in 2008. Since then, she's been searching for various fertility methods and looking for advice on the matter.
Carey tells Access Hollywood, "Celine was talking about acupuncture. I used to get acupuncture, and I had never thought (of it) with regards to the trying to conceive situation. I was (getting acupuncture), like, once a day at least. It was on a schedule, everything. For the first time in my life, I spent time in one place."
Carey feels that the treatment helped her get pregnant and battle the stress she had trying to conceive.
The newly pregnant singer says, "People who know me would be like, 'You scheduled acupuncture at a certain time every day? You stayed in one place?"
She also tried hormone treatments to increase her chances of getting pregnant. "I put my body through like a whole kind of cleansing kind of situation and prepared. I had to be on progesterone. I did end up being on progesterone like every month to go through the cycles."
Her fertility methods caused her to gain weight, which put the media on high alert. Headlines were everywhere reporting that the singer was pregnant before Carey even knew she was pregnant.
Carey says, "It also bloats you, it also puts on weight. So then, everybody was like, 'Oh, the weight gain, she’s definitely pregnant!'"

Dion's Twins Released From Hospital
CELINE DION's premature twin boys have been given the all-clear to go home with the singer and her husband five days after they were born in Florida.
The 42-year-old star gave birth to baby boys via a C-section on Saturday (23Oct10), but medics have been keeping a close eye on the tots, who weighed just five pounds (2.26 kilograms) at birth and were incubated.
Dion's representative has confirmed that doctors at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida had discharged the babies on Thursday (28Oct10) tots, which spent the last few days in an incubator.
The rep tells People.com, "Everyone's doing great. They are happy to be home." |
