C++ / Pascal/ Prolog masih guna la cuma lately orang ramai nak alih dari desktop ke multi-tiered/n-tiered application. sebab dia separate logic/design/db dah tu cross platform

tapi c++ still used, even kernel pun kena tulis dalam C, cuma maybe bukan dalam industry web based laa

assembly language different untuk processor yg belainan... untuk Intel processor ko kena blajar guna Intel nyer ASM... Untuk processor lain, lain lak... pastu untuk 16, 32, dan 64 bit pun lain gak... jadi memang tak cross platform...

I dont suggest to learn ASM, each processor/controller have different set of command in ASM. For ASM, just learn the concept of digital signal, how digital signal behave, how the basic structure of controller. If you are not in the field of writing firmware or writing problem in the controller, learning ASM is useless.... some company even hiring ppl to do the program and they let them to have around 2 years time to learn their processor...

In the field of programming, there are 2 way you can go (from my opinion lah). One is to become a specialist in a language, and the other one is to become knowledge wide programmer. Both have their own advantage, you get high pay as a specialist but you get less oppoturnity in the field, a knowledge wide programmer might not getting as high as a specilist but you got more oppoturnity and you have higher chance to be a manager or director (both require knowledge wide).

Better balaja JAVA. Kalau tere JAVA bole demand tinggi..coz JAVA tak ramai yg terer..almaklumlah byk sgt kelas dier (blom masuk kelas mengaji lg :D). Member aku fresh grad dapat rm2500 sebulan coz terer JAVA.

Apa tujuan engkau? Application macam mana yang engkau nak buat? Then mungkin boleh dijuruskan language mana nak guna.

Berbalik kepada soklan pertama. Aku sebenaqnya nak belajar bahasa programming yang buleh buat standalone application selain ada gak fungsi2 yang power untuk networking environment. :pray:

Every language can create standalone application or client/server application, if you looking for the language which provide powerful function for networking environment, my suggestion is VB. You can have powerful and more stable function also with other language, example: C++, but just the case that you need to create those function by your own.

yup... aku graduate IT.. takpernah pun blajar assembly lang.. then masuk2 kejer jer kener buat kejer pkai assembly.. perghhh... pening lalat aku blajar.. tapi serius aku cakap.. its really2 fun... you can control every bit.. not just byte.. but bit..!!!.. memang betol... setiap uP ader lang dier sendiri.. tapi tak tau lar.. yg aku nampak.. command dier tkadr ler banyak... just beraper ketul jer.. so, nak belajar pun sekejap jer.. cumer yg amik mase tu, sebab nak study sourcecode org.. dah paham sourcecode baru bley modify..
